It's pretty obvious that Trump is out to get the NFL at this point and is doing a decent job at tearing them down. It's going to be interesting when Vince McMahons XFL comes back in 2020, I'd bet that Trump will be putting it over and promoting it.

It is worth noting that the POTUS is going after a private organization, and when another ideology is represented in the white house, there should be no $#@!s given if the government goes after private organizations at that time. The precedent has now been set.

Several players for the Eagles were very vocal after the Super Bowl about their disdain for Trump and telling everyone that they would not attend the White House celebration.
