The Founders explained it and did not give us a democracy because they feared and hated it.

Can you imagine getting, what, 230M adults in the US to vote on everything mundane and great? How many would not understand, or bother to understand the issues at hand? They may not have time in their lives to devote that amount of time to participate.

It would be really interesting if today's kids were looking up laws and regulations on their smartphones instead of watching moronic content specifically designed to turn their brains to mush

Like the history they teach in public school?

I'm sure the court could shoot down legislation that violated constitutional rights just as easily as they do today. Really the only problem I see in the constitution is the election process.
Some good points however, laws have to be challenged repeatedly in court to even get to the SC and it often takes years. I would much rather see a pre- vote Constitutional review.
We would need to modify bills, which could be a good thing. But how would we become competent to vote intelligently on a 500 page SEC type law?

    [...]

The reason is, is that they used to have more responsibilities...

...then the result is occupy wallstreeters. [...]
There is Wall Street, and it does what it does. Then there is the issue of a private few taking a nation's currency and making it become a private corporation to benefit for the wealth of the few.

Now, just imagine some of the main reasons for all of the attempts at taking chances away to force the central banking system down. That would include the politicians who just go along with the unconstitutional privately owned 'United States' Federal Reserve system, because it is the thing to do. It just seems to be part of their job. They don't seem to care about how real wealth has been relinquished in order to make the regular people servants. Not all, but most don't seem to care about it. But the regular people might.

It doesn't matter if one regards themselves to be left, right, or something else in between, the United States Constitution has been violated. Not just once, but several times, and as to what matters, money does. There is just never enough no matter who says they rule and no one else. Can you imagine the interest owed by such a scheme of fractional reserve banking, that there should be no factions? It just seems if the truth was known, of how much wealth is owed, there would be a revolution. All that interest accumulating, the gold stolen.

    I know. Let's have a king.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

If we intorduced the idea of Democracy to children in school since they are little and teach them what a great responsibility that they will have as an adult and how what they decide will effect everyone, they may take it very seriously and help them to have a greater sense and pride and understanding of what it means to be a citizen of this country. To them it would NOT be a country where we are told what to do, rather it would be OUR country. When something is OURS we treat it much differently.

At the moment we do not matter and our vote does not count and our rights are disappearing faster than we can blink. It is not an environment that can even create a responsible proud citizen. Rather it is a soup that creates a nation filled with pain and it is not taken seriously.

This is a nation that says when you are 18 you have the right to take a bullet but not the right to "really" vote. You can pay up to 60% of your earned income to the government, but you cannot have a say how it is spent.

If the person who I vote into office is working on behalf of the corporations, then they are not working for me or my best interests!
Then this is a sort of TREASON to their own nation and citizens!

There could be a time when what it means to be an American is something to be proud of.

    I hope it happens

You are not qualified to decide who should receive money from the government, and who should not. There's no reason for anybody to resent welfare recipients, because most of them are in the working class or are elderly.

That is just it we are working for ourselves, but we have to give what is ours to the government. It is the other way around. It is them who are taking. And none of it is in the interest of making a more "Beautiful" nation. It is in corporate interests alone!

They will take 60% of your money from every penny you earn.
They will send your child to commit atrocities against the innocent for corporate greed. They will take the life of your only son with a bullet on the battle ground.

But they will not give you your rights.

The citizens of America are giving their all, their blood is being sucked from their body by corporate vampires. Their souls are growing weary. They are taken from not just in body but in mind as well. They are taken from until there is nothing left to take and then they are discarded, and thrown away.

That is the system in which we live.

    Say what you will.

No one is asking for a handout! Most Americans today have more than one job. People are doing all they can to do for them selves but it's kind of hard to replenish your blood when you have a permanent vampire latched onto your neck!
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.
