I know more than you do. That is sufficient.
What do you believe General Eisenhower said?
I answered the general case. Operation Bodyguard was the capstone plan for all of the deception operations covering the Allied invasion. There were hundreds of individual plans covering individual aspects of misleading the German intelligence services.I notice you didn't comment on the fake army plan.
I made no such foolish claim. Pull your head out of your ass.According to you that's not what a plan is.
Believe what you want. One can accomplish a great deal in a twenty year Army career. I helped create operations plans at battalion, brigade, division and corps level. I had the opportunity to participate in a week-long planning session that brought experts from all over the country. There were at least a hundred of us. We developed the broad outlines of a top-secret plan for countering a likely Soviet move. Then we returned to our units and continued planning for several months.I don't believe you know a damn thing about it. The internet allows you to be whatever you want even if it is a lie.
But that is not what you originally said. Had the invasion failed we would have conducted smaller, less ambitious operations elsewhere. We had to in order to keep the Soviet Union in the war.Ike certainly did say if the invasion failed there would be no further attempt that year. You know so much you know that.
