Then it was. I don't know what else to tell you. I'm not one of those "Obama was perfect" guys. He had plenty of faults. I did over all agree more than disagree with him though.

You can disagree. The executive is charged constitutionally With enforcing the laws passed by Congress and enacted. He breaches his sworn duty when he fails to do so. Let the court rule as it may but it is his duty to do so. It was the Obama’s duty likewise with respect to the defense of marriage act. I do not engage in what about-ism. I want the president to follow the Constitution.

Yes. The executive branch must impartially enforce the laws. The Executive branch is under no Constitutional obligation to defend laws in court.

There is no duty to defend unjust, unconstitutional laws. You turn the Constitution on its head.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Show me the provision of the Constitution that makes the Executive branch responsible for defending unconstitutional laws before the judicial branch.

I don't believe that it is the Executive's duty (or ability) to interpret what laws are or aren't constitutional. That is for the courts. It is the Executive's duty to enforce the laws enacted by the legislative branch, including defending same before the judiciary. To do otherwise, puts it in the role of the judiciary.

Dave, the correct answer is, "You are right MisterVeritis. The Executive branch carries no Constitutional obligation to defend any law before the courts."
