    I wouldn't tap into my retirement for kids (if I had them). I paid for my own school, and so can they.

    My Defined Benefit Pension set dates and if you pull money early the penalties get you. Baring catastrophe, knock wood, I won't have to. The other guy down the street with little to no estate planning/savings is in a mell of a hess.

    I paid for some of it, but I made them also have significant skin in the game.
