Society as a whole should not accept lying as a way of life and bring back accountability. Only then will we have a chance to stop the insanity happening today.

Like I said, you are being dismissive. Seems you want to avoid discussing whether what liberals think is best for America actually is so. Certainly, given that liberals what to change what America was and is for some imagined progressive future it could be said they don't even want's what's best for America. But let's avoid discussing that for your useless claim "The idea that American liberals don't want what's best for their country is just silly."

Sorry, I just found your post confusing. I got the gist, but it was phrased poorly.
As to the motivations of liberals, of course they want what's best for their nation. You may disagree with what they see as best, but to claim their intentions are against America would be wrong.
I think the goals of conservatives are wrong and not what is best for America, but I don't doubt their intentions are good.
I find it naive and simplistic when I see anyone claim their political opponents are anti American. Regardless of who is claiming it. Not to mention, neither side is some monolithic entity with the same goals and values.

The problem is that there is no "nation" to speak of. Conservatives and liberals have different values and interests that emerge as a result of differences in geography and culture. This cannot be reconciled, period. So although it was probably unintended, your phraseology (their nation) actually captures a largely misunderstood truth, which is that liberals and conservatives belong to separate nations with clashing values and interests.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

So you circle back around and repeat yourself. My argument was what libs might think best may not be so, in fact cannot be known to be true. Instead of addressing that you state another rather vacuous opinion you think conservative goals wrong and not best, but leave everyone hanging as to what those goals are and why you know them to be bad. Such vacuous opinions are naive and simplistic.
Why do I say what I say about liberal goals, that they can't be know to be good and true. Simple, they are about a future that cannot be known. Yet liberals embrace progress and rush higgledy-piggledy into the unknown. Sure, conservative goals may be lousy, but they approach with caution about unforseen consequences and prudence in implementation so results can be seen before decide to pull back or move forward.
