    Hello?
What say that America overproduces dairy and wants to dump the surplus north of the border. Should NAFTA support dumping, so long as it's not dumping in the USA?

Yes, I admit that there is absolutely nothing about Trump that I don't find offensive. Nothing.

Dumping is illegal under international trade laws. It is typically associated with subsidizing your nation's exports so they can sell in other countries a much cheap rates. China is known to do this for many export. Canada does it for their lumber industry. I don't think the US has successfully accused of dumping.

Canada has massive tariffs on dairy purely because it knows the US overproduces dairy and would drive Canadian dairy producers out of business. US dairy is subsidized. The US government contributed around $22.2 billion in direct and indirect subsidies to the dairy sector in 2015.

Subsidies up to 73% would be dumping as I describe above; not the overproduction.

Dumping is a justification for massive tariffs. The overproduction is a direct result of the subsidies. Let it simply be agreed that this is not a product that is going to be traded across the border. Both the US and Canada export milk and milk products to the rest of the world.

Ah, I forgot Israel. Having Israel in the council is a mistake, but is an ally, even if it continuosly violates the human rights. It is our bully.

If we sell what we make the middle class does just fine. Of course, you have to be willing to work. There's the rub. The ones who won't work don't matter nor should they.

NAFTA doesn't allow dumping so what are you talking about? The problem is Canada protecting their farmers. That's okay. Trump wanting to even it up for our farmers and you have a hissy fit.
