The Trump Foundation and the Clinton Foundation

All the major foundations should be investigated and some governing rules should be changed. They get to claim a tax reduction but a lot of that tax free money goes to support a lot of groups and organizations that aren't exactly pro American. Charity is one thing but political groups are a different matter. Another thing that makes me wonder, if a business can get a tax break by putting the money in a foundation isn't it the taxpayers who are really paying for it? Plus we don't get any say so in who they give the money too.

You needn't worry, very little generally goes to actual charity. The money is primarily consumed in administration and lavish charity events.

Jeebus, most of these foundations are shady forms of legal tax evasion where most of the money never reaches its stated target. From what I've read about Trump's foundation, he hasn't put a dime of his own money into it since 2008, but donates the funds to other charities in his own name, apart from using some to pay for a $20K portrait of himself and donating some to a political campaign fund (not his own).
