    It is and they do. The sales tax is paid by the buyer. The "store" only collects it and sends it to the state. Look at a receipt. It's price, tax and total. You pay all of the sales tax.

    They probably made a deal with the state as part of a deal to come in. That may or may not change. I don't read SCOTUS as requiring states from exempting this sort of deal. That may be a Court case later.

    If you are the seller it will be your responsibility to report and pay the collected taxes. if Amazon does it this law has guaranteed Amazon will have nor (or very few) competitors.
    Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.
