That's a hell of a lot of rain. I can only imagine how bad the flooding conditions must be. Is there a lot of flooding locally where you live?

We had very bad rain on Monday. Probably the most that I have seen overall. We have had other rain storms with winds that covered my balcony, unlike this one, but this one made the street in front get a bit of a flood- had not seen that and I bought here in 2004.

No cows fed on corn products is contrary to their biology. That increases methane in the atmosphere and is much worse than factory made CO2. Grass fed cows and solve at least two problems: methane from cow farts, and heath of the ground they range on.

We are entering a warming phase that promises more severe weather. I suspect that shares in companies producing metal, composite and ceramic roofing materials will rise in price. Severe winds and asphalt shingles are a poor combination. Rising temperatures will increase energy needs, so that will spur more research into energy self-sufficiency, both on a national and individual level.
