I can imagine violence from the left, increasing over time. I can imagine the huge centralized state the left created rising up against it.

The people don't want this. It's the entitled people that were given trophies just for playing, weren't told to get jobs and went to college for basket weaving 101 that want this. All their life, they've been given everything they wanted. Now, they aren't. They are going to throw a hissy-fit until they get their way - or some of them die trying.

People have a right to defend themselves when people throw rocks and other projectiles towards them. That is not advocating violence, it's defending yourself from harm. Just like you have a right to gun down a person trying to enter your house to do you harm.
