    Just found one

MAE SAI, Thailand (AP) — Thai authorities say a former navy SEAL working to rescue boys trapped in cave has died from lack of oxygen.
SEAL commander Arpakorn Yookongkaew told a news conference Friday morning that the rescuer was working in a volunteer capacity and died during an overnight mission in which he was placing oxygen canisters.
Thai authorities are racing to pump out water from a flooded cave where 12 boys and their soccer coach have been trapped since June 23.

They might want to get some mining equipment and drill some holes into the cave.

This is bad. Why not a coffer dam like they built when they did the hoover dam to divert the water around the cave?

They have several small surface dams in place to try to divert water away from the catchment area, and numerous pumps working to pump out the half-mile or so of underwater sections. The rainwater seeps through the ground, not in at the entrance, so theres no one place to divert it from.
There was a faint hope they could reduce the levels enough by pumping to make it passable before the weekend, when the next heavy rainfall is expected. After that all bets are off.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

Thanks DM, Much appreciated. All the technology in the world and yet we're powerless against mother nature and some stupid 25 year old kid. DGU.

Thai authorities ask media to leave area around entrance of cave where soccer team is trapped, fueling speculation that rescue mission could be imminent.

Heavy rain is on the way and they don't want the media undermining their rescue efforts or showing kids coming out, dead or alive.

Oxygen? I thought oxygen was toxic a depth. When ever I dive (it has been awhile) I use dry, filtered, compressed air.

One of the hazards of diving alone is that at certain depths a person may start "narcing out" otherwise known as suffering from nitrogen narcosis.
