Well, according to some, on the left, Trudy is guilty. He's been accused, therefore he's guilty. In fact, he must have admitted to it, somewhere, sometime, so he's definitely a no-good evil white male.

(Substitute Trump for Trudy and you know all that must be true!)

Not only is Trudy guilty but so are all those people who should have known what he did but remained silent.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded again Thursday to allegations that he groped a female reporter nearly 20 years ago at the 2000 Kokanee Summit festival.

The allegations first appeared in an anonymous editorial in the Creston Valley Advance which resurfaced on Twitter. The article also says Trudeau apologized, saying “I’m sorry. If I had known you were reporting for a national paper, I never would have been so forward.”

Initially the Canadian Prime Minister told The Washington Post that he remembered “no negative interactions from that day.

"I remember that day in Creston well. It was an Avalanche Foundation event to support avalanche safety. I had a good day that day. I don’t remember any negative interactions that day at all," he said.

However, on Thursday, Trudeau admitted that he did apologize to the reporter and that he respects that she “might have experienced” the interaction “differently.”

The accusation would be more credible if he was accused of groping a young man.

Does @IMPress Polly automatically believe Trudeau’s accuser?

I am just reading up on this story now in a handful of different places, as apparently it has broken within just the last 24 hours, but since my input has been directly requested, honestly it is my first instinct to believe this woman. Trudeau says that she "perceived [his actions] in a different way that I acted or how I experienced it". You know how many times we've heard that same line now since the Me Too movement entered the cultural mainstream last fall? That justification hasn't exactly gotten more believable to me with repetition. The fact that he acknowledges that the incident happened is something to be taken note of here. Neither he nor his accuser are in disagreement about that.

I would also observe that there rarely turns out to be just one accuser in these sorts of cases. The first one tends to embolden more to go public with their own stories. Based on that pattern, I'm also hardly convinced that this was just an isolated incident. I would speculate that we may well see more, similar stories about Mr. Trudeau's behavior toward women becoming public in the coming days and weeks. Maybe even a lot more. We need to take these matters seriously.

Look at how this works, Polly such a classic example. This is pure fascism 101, it's a beautiful illustration.

The "first instinct" is to believe the woman, forget innocence until proven guilty. After all, Polly is "just reading up on this story within the last 24 hours" so it's time to kneejerk react and throw opinion.

Then...."there rarely turns out to be just one accuser"...….any "first one tends to embolden more"...…..so...."based on that pattern"...…..Polly is "hardly convinced this is an isolated incident."

This Dude....is already guilty...and there is little chance there aren't more victims.

This after just the last 24 hours of Polly "reading up."

I submit to you BLM, MeToo. This is exactly the herd mentality I speak to over and over and over again.

Nicely done, Polly. Not that I needed a perfect illustration, but as far as my point goes here, you are that perfect illustration.

    Wow. Fascism with a capital f'n F.

    Lemme try.....

I just heard about this in the last 10 minutes and I think this woman is full of shiit. You're innocent until proven guilty what evidence does this woman have. Wasn't this in like 1950 or something? Furthermore, once one sniffes an opportunity for fame and fortune, many more come out of the woodwork. There are rarely just one of these opportunists, many more will try to take advantage and disingenuous disadvantage at that.

Makes me sad for real victims when these fake and obviously bullshiit claims are permitted to fester. I'm just winging it of course, I don't know this woman or the tulip of a Canadian Prime Minister but then....if Polly can wing it....well then...can't we all?
