    I think you need to realize the way Progressives define rights is different than the way Classical Liberals (conservatives, libertarians) do. Rights are not seen as obligations to fend for yourself but as obligations put on society to fend for you. You don't get a cell phone by going out and working and saving for it, you expect society to provide it to you.

    Oh, here's a great $#@!ing example. You aren't exactly coming to my aid whenever the mods are TB'ing me for stupid $#@!. That is a huge form of censorship. If you really cared about free speech, you would tell them to knock it the $#@! off. But it works to your benefit, so you keep your mouth shut. There's an example for ya.
