I think she only has to be a naturalized citizen. That was Cruz's problem at the onset of the candidate races. You cannot have dual citizenship. If he had declared it a while before he ran, he was qualified as a naturalized citizen.

The Founders distinguished between natural born and naturalized when they stated the time period Representatives and Senators had to have been naturalized citizens while stating the President had to be "natural born"

The Constitution gives three eligibility requirements to be president: one must be 35 years of age, a resident "within the United States" for 14 years, and a "natural born Citizen," a term not defined in the Constitution.

Wiki and the rest of the sites have pretty much the same information. The CONUS doesn't differentiate between "naturalized" and "natural" but you must meet all quals.
But it's pretty clear, a naturalized citizen can be POTUS as long as they meet the requirements
I don't know about Melania's status, but if she meets the quals, I think she sure can run for POTUS

So pretty much the same criteria, one just uses a different language and the age requirements tend to be less rigid. Tis easy to get elected as a senator or congressman than it is to get elect to the presidency. I'd rather be the sheriff on my own little piece.
Being president shouldn't be an easy job and it hasn't been since Washington. So, why make it tougher than it already is?

I think the Founders were of the opinion that a person actually born in this Nation would be less inclined to "sell out" to a foreign power than a prior citizen of that foreign power who became a citizen of this nation then ran for office.
