Woman Can’t Remember Where She Left Baby

    Oh my goodness

North Dakota authorities have reported finding the body of a missing 4-month-old boy whose mother told law enforcement officers she couldn’t remember the last four days or where she left the baby. Tyr Lange was found in rural northwestern Stutsman County. The infant and his mother Justice Lange, of Fargo, N.D., had been reported missing on Monday.
“It’s a sad day, we kinda knew this was gonna happen this way but until it happens, but it is good that we did find the 4-month-old for the families for everybody’s sake to get some closure,” Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser said.

Yep that is what the local paper said, she is known for drugs. They have had this out for two days hoping to find the child alive.

Or something hormonal/psychiatric. There are plenty of horror stories of new moms and only some discussion about just how many women experience things like post-partum depression. It obviously varies in severity, when very few having symptoms so bad they harm their children or themselves or experience psychosis of some sort. But it could really happen to anyone, so I am not quick to condemn women in these stories - we don't know if something like this were going on, and many/most women avoid seeking treatment because of stigma.

It's horrific, but I try not to judge until facts are known. If it were drugs, it is a shame and tragedy that family services didn't intervene before the incident.

I doubt that she forgot where she left her baby because of post partum depression.

It is entirely possible. Exhaustion, plus psychiatric symptoms (post-partum depression or post-partum psychosis), plus hormonal changes... If you listen to women who have experienced it, the symptoms are wide-ranging and it makes sense that something like this could occur. If a woman is feeling detached from her child, for example, it might be as simple in the brain as losing a pen. Memory is also a weird thing and is greatly impacted by cognitive and hormonal changes.

    No.

Why are you trying to invent ways to relieve this low life for being held responsible for her actions?
