They may very well view the person to whom they are making the point with contempt. The point is that insults in no way change the actual message. If I am imparting information to someone, whether I cal him "Your Highness" or "Dumb Ass", the information is the same. Whether the receiver chooses to accept it is on him.

Your insults are almost always unaccompanied by an actual message. You use insults as a substitute for an argument because you're an adolescent in a grown man's body. Absolutely pathetic.

Intellect to me simply means relying on facts, evidence, and logic to form your opinions. And as long as I've been here, donttread has always done so. But instead of responding to his arguments with more facts, evidence, and logic, a certain group of posters just insults him and anyone else who disagrees with them. And predictably, they've shown up in this thread in an attempt to defend their juvenile, toxic behavior.

Ethereal is a very disagreeable and caustic influence on this board IMO.
