Things are going way too far.
How many times in the last week has the N word been uttered at music venues over p.a. systems with 100's of watts and no one says a word..?

It's awful and makes me angry that the government would be so f-ing arrogant and ridiculous as to penalize the far larger segment of the population for something another, smaller segment -- n-----s -- is doing.

Given the horrible history surrounding the use of that word and the intent behind it nobody should be saying it. I’m not African American so I can’t speak for them as a whole, and on the surface I don’t know why any black person would use that term, but as for white people, any white person that is interested in and appreciates unity, kindness, and history should make it a point to never utter such a disgusting word or even defend or make excuses for those other white people that use it. It doesn’t matter if someone else of a different race says it. Focus on you. As a white person dont use it or defend its use. Be the example.

What you can do is A. Not commit heinous crimes, and B. Don’t target someone because of their race or gender or religion or ethnicity and so on through that crime. I would agree that in most cases a crime is a crime but it’s understandable how a person could see how a person targeted due to hate for something, like their race, the crime could have an elevated level of focus or perception.

No. Crime is crime. Assault is assault, no matter what races are involved. It doesn't matter. Assault was a crime before it was a hate crime accompanied by maybe a racial slur or someone's assumption that because two different races were involved, it was a hate crime. The fact is, this hate crime nonsense is heavily biased in ONE direction.

Do a search for "William Ellison" you will discover that blacks owned slaves in this nation. In fact at the time of his death Ellison had ownership of 40 of his black brethren.

Personally I think Keith Ellison of the DNC needs to start paying reparations.

Down the road... the way things are going? Likely. It's already a horrid situation in the UK. Freedom of speech is down the toilet, unless you're a protected class.. and guess what? That protected class ain't white/and/or is a horrible problematic political ideology disguised as a religion.

Tell me, if I beat my Jewish husband and called him the n-word while doing it, how many crimes would I be charged with, do you think? Do you need context as to why I beat him, or is just beating him the problem?
