Plutonium Reportedly Disappeared in San Antonio, Texas

An undisclosed amount of plutonium has reportedly been missing in San Antonio since March of 2017.
The plutonium reportedly went missing while two security experts from the Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory were in the city to retrieve nuclear materials from a nonprofit lab. With them, they brought sensors and the plutonium to help calibrate and measure the materials.
However, the two stopped at a Marriott hotel, leaving the sensors , a plastic covered disk of plutonium, and cesium, inside of their car. The next morning, they discovered it had been broken into and stolen. No public announcement was made.
