That is true. What's in question is the fairness and potential need for change of the system that allowed him to accumulate such wealth. We cannot automatically assume that the super rich got where they are legally or fairly . It's not like he just worked overtime or got a second job. Isn't much of it not even defined as "earned income" ? That should be a clue. For example here the rich pay a lower rate on investment income than earned income. A direct result of the tilted table and rather backwards .

Societal rules constantly tell us what we can do with our money. Taxes, loop holes, this is legal while that isn't . Pay this rate on investment income and that rate on earned income. Progressive tax rates.
Of course society can tell you what to do with your money. They can also be corrupt enough where the way some get their money isn't really right or legal.

The real problem is that the table tilts more with each generation. Now the land of "The american Dream" is actually fairly bad at upward mobility.
We need some kind of reset. A system that encourages production but not obscene and controlling accumulation of money as a tool for power and control.

It's 95% ego of course , probably more. But it highlights the tilted table which is likely worse in India than here. Anytime someone has that much money much of it was usually made of the backs of others and/or via undue influence.
