True that. But I'll tell ya, I'd compromise and settle for one fifth, myself.

If there was racism intended in this weird wounded duck of American law, it would have been more like One Tenth Compromise.

I'm sure racism was involved. It has nothing to do with the compromise. The compromised was the best and only way to get the Constitution out of the Convention and to get it ratified.

Thus the ends (union of northern and southern States) justified the means - a fiction that 3/5ths of the slave population had voter rights. In the end, the fundamental differences between the North and South still led to civil war. This attempt to justify a legal fiction as grounds to create a union had nothing but the agendas of the participants in mind. The war ended slavery. Had there not been war, slavery would have continued. There are no good guys in this scenario - only politicians and commercial interests.

3/5ths of the slave population had voter rights
False. They were counted 3/5s for determining the number of Representatives sent to the House.

    The war ended slavery
False. That came later with ratification of the 13th Amendment.

    slavery would have continued
False. Automation was already making it uneconomical.

This attempt to justify a legal fiction
False. The 3/5ths compromise was a fact.

I think you miss the point that it was the North who wanted slaves counted 3/5ths, the South wanted them counted as whole persons. Again, for determining the number of Representatives sent to the House. It was, as said above, about power.

The absurdity of the accommodation continues to this day.

If slavery had continued, there probably would have been a black revolt. Now that would have been interesting.

The South experienced that a couple few times and greatly feared it.

Where does it say that slaves had voting rights? Nowhere, that's where. Did you bother to even click on it?

It has been established it was a compromise to get the Constitution out to the states.

    What commercial interests?
