On another level, he did pretty much the same thing that Democrats are doing now -- trying to expand the vote to people who didn't vote before and probably should not vote. Basically buying their loyalty at least long enough to remain in office, or until they wised up and saw Democrats for the back-stabbing, self-serving sociopaths many of them are -- most of them in leadership.

What? He was enforcing the Constitution. They didn't vote before because the South made it almost impossible. It wasn't their choice. If you don't believe every citizen has the right to vote amned the Constitution. Don't defend Jim Crowe.

Please revoke LBJ's Silver Star because it was a fraud, but more importantly, part of a much larger deception that Democrats perpetrated on Americans of that era, and so symbolizes the false assumption he and Democrats have burdened the country with by passage of the various civil rights acts.

I don't feel strongly about anything, really, and part of the reason is because Democrats are not to be believed.
