    Either the underwriter or broker wasn't paying attention. If it's not legal to have an overpowered boat, then the insurance company can't legally contract to insure it nor can they legally renew the policy.

    I got the engine back. It's back on the boat and the thieves were caught. I gave my neighbor a nice bottle of wine for his help.


    My boat is not illegal. The power limitation is only a recomendation, not a legal requirement. However, my current insurance policy will not be renewed. I believe that I can still have the boat insured for theft on my homeowners policy. That's really all that matters to me anyway.

    It was just an act of theft. I wasn't made to suffer any misery. Still, the clown who seems to think this was an act of Karma is a coward who refuses to explain himself.
