Destroy all infrastructure, including irrigation and water wells, destroy all oil resources, destroy all bridges, power plants, hospitals, radio/tv/satellite assets, destroy all their military technology, especially their centrifuges, seed all their croplands with radioactive salts, do what is necessary to erase the myth that Persia still exists, by destroying everything that used to be where Persia was.

Be thorough.

I just don't see this as a bad idea. Depending on how much effort, risk, and money is required taking into account the massive involvement we currently deploy. I don't think this Saudi idea should be rejected outright as Peter contends. Ethereal of course knee jerks and pretends this is some imperial American idea to increase involvement in the region, but I think his reaction comes without even reading the article, knowing whose idea this actually was or why, in other words, he's winging it.

I think we should go in eyes wide open. An Arab Alliance confronting Iran isn't a bad idea and could be beneficial to US interests.

It seems that the plan would not rely on US troops (although I assume US NAV Air from the 5th fleet would take out most major targets.

Look at the picture with the Iranian soldier- you can see how narrow parts of the Straights are.

Rouhani issued the threat a couple days ago after Trump told others about the Sanctions that go in effect starting this November.

Trump should bait Iran some more. Hopefully they will do it and then they will discover they wont have an Air Force nor a Navy anymore. Plus all their artillery and Missile batteries for the Strait will be destroyed.
