    What happens to the republican party?

    This is an opinion piece so don't ask for links.

    What's next for the republicans? It seems to me tRump is doing irreparable harm to the party. They are pushing out everyone with any difference of opinion. Look at all the retirements, listen to what the folks here call people like McCain and corker. Dissent will not be tolerated, free thinking is strictly forbidden. And tolerance? Forgetaboutit!

    My question is what's next? After the midterms all dissenting voices will have been silenced. It won't be the republican party, it will be the tRump party. Even in the extremely unlikely evenent of a second term when that's over what will you kids do? You've already lost the ability to compromise or cooperate with anyone,. Will you just find another loudmouth to tell you what you want to hear? It won't be pence, he's pretty much been totally subsumed by tRump. Will you be able to find someone to follow slavishly like you do tRump? Seems to me you'll pretty much have to, either that or just fade away.

    What are your plans?

    The best way to think of it is the Republican Party is now Trump's Party.

    A wise person will plan for a total of eight Trump years.
    Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

    I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

    The Republican party destroyed itself long before Trump came on the scene.

    Compromise and cooperation with the left is how it was destroyed. The Bush's can tell you all about it.

    What happens I suppose any time there's any split in any party--and both parties are splintered and fractured.

    The winning party will change to that position that won. When Trump won Bannon said Republicans now will proceed to steal Democrat thunder and be in office for decades.

    The losing party will splinter till some faction figures out how to win again. Hint: socialism/democratic socialism is not a winning ticket.

    Reagan made two mistakes, IMHO:

    1 selecting Bush as VP, CIA director being the ultimate deep state operative in government, at least at that time;
    2 having mega American multinational corporate heads as advisers and in his cabinet.

    Well, so we got Bush as president, and now we have a deep state that is buggering up Washington;
    and we have multinational corporations and corporate leaders without a worry whatsoever about the possibility of bankruptcy that comprise the deep state, and some of them are sleeping with the Chinese.

    I think Reagan had Bush forced on him. I don't think he had a choice.

    What happened to the Republican Party? It became the Republicrat Party and was but two sides of the same elitist coin. Hopefully, the Current Republican Party will be replaced by the Conservative Party.
