I find some of Sargent Gleed's commentary to be incorrect . However, his overall assessment is spot on. It has been said that socialism is the most evil philosophy ever devised by man. Since it runs counter to man's inner nature and his quest for freedom it will always decay into tyranny and ultimately barbarism.

Altruistic capitalism is altogether another thing. Some do not have that, so why is their/there taxation.

If real wealth is created, what is the point of hoarding that more wealth that can not be used in a life time; that once a society has been utilized by the same, they who took away out of that economy the most owe more in the long run, and would see their investments grow with the returns.

Socialism is a socialist idea. How hard is that to understand? The issue is how far it will go in terms of the political, religious, monetary values espoused. It is about what politics never surrendered, what many religions claim to press for, what money may have devalued, and that is the concept of the Volk having something to say about it as to what the U.S. Constitution never authorized. A foreign war in a nation that practiced German National Socialism, where raw capitalism found itself capped. That's the whole evil of it, isn't it, that raw, arbitrary capitalism was being capped.

jet57: Socialism as a concept started in Europe during the Reformation. The Diggers of England were the first communists using socialism as manner of control. So no, it's not an American idea. Moreover, in Germany the Volk were desirous of socialism in the wake of the crash of '29. What started as the German Worker's Party under Anton Drexler in 1919 became the National Socialism. The word attracted followers. IN the mean time Hitler was installing his SS into government and thus he became chancellor. Hitler's movement NEVER had anything to do with socialism.

Socialism is a much older idea than even the Reformation, and as to what Adolf Hitler started, he was able to articulate what was happening. Your figurehead of NEVER is winding. Raw, unfettered capital will end.
