There's no doubt that Manafort would not have been persued had he not been affiliated with the Trump campaign.

The partisan Democrat types have mysteriously connected Trump to the years old charges against Manafort. If he gets found guilty of anything, somehow Trump is guilt of high crimes and misdemeanors.


It defies a rational explanation.

What part of the case is their reasonable doubt about ?

I heard as much of the trial as you did. We don't know.

I would think it would be easy to win a tax fraud case if (1) you had the evidence for tax fraud- it is all written down in accounts, bank statements, and tax forms; and (2) you were at least a moderately competent prosecutor. If you didn't have # 1 then you were committing prosecutor fraud in the first place. If you didn't have #2, keep trying. You should get better over time.

It is also complicated because Gates admitted to stealing from Manafort. So we have real reasonable doubt. But juries will do what they do. I wouldn't put a beat on how they will rule.
