    Adelaide is describing the physical mechanics of drunkenness, but what does that have to do with evolution? If evolution was involved in alcoholism, it would serve to weed out the drunks, not perpetuate man's fondness -- so to speak -- for beer and alchohol.

    Alcohol, opiates, cocaine and other dangerous drugs are all part of the plant kingdom's war against the animal kingdom for eating them.
