Exclamation Iraq Vet's Wife Deported by Trump

    How is this even possible?

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...614-story.html

fter living in Central Florida for years, married to a Marine and raising two daughters, Alejandra Juarez is facing deportation to Mexico next week — unless she gets a last-minute reprieve.
Juarez’s pending deportation is destroying her family, she said.
Her youngest daughter Estela, 8, who does not speak Spanish, will move to Mexico with her because Juarez’s husband travels regularly for work and would be unable to care for her.
Her 16-year-old daughter, Pamela, will remain in Davenport to finish high school. She is saving every penny she earns working at a restaurant to purchase plane tickets to visit her mother and sister.

US Rep. Darren Soto with Alejandra Juarez, a mother and veteran's wife who was deported on August 3

(CNN)The wife of a former US Marine tearfully said goodbye to loved ones Friday before she boarded a flight to Mexico, ending her battle to fight deportation.

Alejandra Juarez, who lived in the Orlando area, left the United States, said Ernesto Juarez, her brother-in-law. He had no further comment.
US Rep. Darren Soto, a Florida Democrat who represents the district where the woman lived, had introduced legislation to stop her deportation.
Supporters sent letters to President Donald Trump and government agencies asking for a stay of removal, Soto said.

"If the president really claims to support veterans, he should stand with the Juarez family and reconsider Alejandra's deportation," Soto said in a statement. "While Mr. Juarez was abroad fighting to defend our country, Mrs. Juarez was at home raising his daughters, serving in the same manner as military spouses do across our nation."

Yet Melania Trump's father, a former member of the KGB, was granted US citizenship yesterday.

Juarez entered the U.S. illegally in 1998 and married her husband, Temo Juarez, in 1998.

    Buh-bye.

He was never a member of the KGB. He is Slovakian, not Russian.

I stand corrected. He was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party and his ties to them allowed the KGB to enable the family's comfortable lifestyle and Melania's modeling career.

CBP, the State Department, and USCIS all have easy to read instructions on how to enter the US legally. This lady likely would have been eligible under either a fiance Visa or a marriage Visa. Fill out the paperwork, submit the required documents, pay the fees and get a temporary Green Card. Two years later, repeat the above. Get a permanent Green Card.

What is so hard to understand? If she violated this procedure why should she not be deported? If she wants her family with her, they can go with her. Nothing is stopping them.

It is not that easy to understand, from my point of view as an immigrant. If I did not have a lawyer (unpaid, friend) working with me to complete these documents, I would be lost. A lot of immigrants can't rely on immigration lawyers because there are so many scams out there.

Not an excuse to not fill out the paperwork - you're right, it would have been an easy way to be here legally - but I wouldn't call the documents or the process easy to the average person.
