Alex Jones Flagship Radio Station Shut Down by the FCC

I posted this because I didn't see anything on this posted here (unless I missed it) on this.

Alex Jones, noted conspiratory theorist, has had his flagship station shut down by the FCC for broadcasting without a license.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has shut down conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' flagship radio station.
The Austin American-Statesman reported Wednesday that the pirate radio station, Liberty Radio, was hit with a $15,000 fine and at least temporarily pulled from the airwaves.
The newspaper reported that a lawsuit filed in federal court in Austin alleged that Liberty Radio had functioned without a license since at least 2013, and had been transmitting from a tower at an Austin apartment complex.

Alex and his supporters need to realize that the airwaves in the US are regulated by the FCC and as such, a license is needed to broadcast legally. Citing the first amendment will not matter in this case.
God Bless America, God Bless our Military and God Bless the Police who defended the country against the insurgents on January 6, 2021

Think 3rd party for 2024 folks. Clean up America.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.

Meh, the station broadcast Alex Jones. That doesn't mean he had anything to do with it, meanwhile you can donate to the following.

You may also drop off your donations with Chad or Becky at:

You think maybe it is Chad or Becky Jones? Who knows.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

I don't think I have ever listened to Alex Jones and probably never will. However, the glee the left is showing because he may have been silenced is frightening. They want to call Trump supporters nazis (without actually knowing the meaning of the word) while engaging in the very same tactics as the first Nazis. I don't have a problem with the left saying "don't listen to Jones, he's a nutcase" I do have a huge problem with using the power of the police to silence him.

I could be wrong, as I'm not privy to all the details, but shutting the station down seems like roundabout way of getting to him. The timing of it all would corroborate the likelihood. Regardless of whether or not you like Jones, he has the right to his speech and opinion and we're more than treading down a dangerous path. What is the state so afraid of? Seems like Jones is hitting a nerve somewhere.

It also doesn't make it true. A government agency alleges you don't have a license ( which would have been issued by them) and you don't have a license whether you do or not. Practice for harassing more important foe

Actually shutting down Jones is nothing new with the FCC; they shut down a couple of hundred illegal stations every year.

I'm sure it's just a big coincidence and totally above board.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

Many "liberals" are only suspicious of the government when it serves their agenda. The same is true of many "conservatives". None of these partisans have any principles except the principle of self-interest.
