Iran test-fires ballistic missile for first time in 2018, officials say......

Uh oh the Iranians are sending us a Message. Didn't stop Trump. Still put the sanctions back on them. Rouhani and the EYEatoldyaso better watch themselves with Trump. The Russians and Chinese will tell them don't press Trump.

    EXCLUSIVE
    – For the first time in more than a year, Iran test-fired a ballistic missile in a brazen display of defiance months after President Trump pulled the United States out of a landmark nuclear deal and days before his administration slapped new sanctions on the Islamic Republic, three U.S. officials with knowledge of the launch tell Fox News.

The test of an Iranian Fateh-110 short-range ballistic missile coincided with a large-scale naval exercise by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard forces late last week involving over 50 small gunboats in the Strait of Hormuz to rehearse “swarm” tactics which could one day potentially shut down the vital waterway, through which 30 percent of the world’s oil passes each year.

While the U.S. military publicly acknowledged the naval activity, the missile test from an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps base in Bandar-e-Jask in southeastern Iran has not been previously reported. The launch was detected by U.S. spy satellites.

According to the officials, the anti-ship Fateh-110 Mod 3 flew over 100 miles on a flight path over the Strait of Hormuz to a test range in the Iranian desert. “It was shore-to-shore,” said one U.S. official describing the launch, who like the others requested anonymity to discuss sensitive information.

The top American commander for U.S. forces in the Middle East told reporters Iran’s recent naval activity was meant to “send a message” to the United States.

"I think it's pretty clear to us that they were trying to use that exercise to send a message to us that as we approach this period of the sanctions, they had some capabilities," Gen. Joseph Votel said at the Pentagon Wednesday.....snip~

Trump backed out of any agreement with Iran, why should they care what draft dodger Donnie says? North Korea is laughing at him too. Stop reading Fox it is BS from the choir boys and girls. Right now Donnie is waiting for his boyfriend Vlad to tell him how to puff out his chest.

How could President Trump do such a thing as to 'back out' of any such agreement? How could any President either enter or back from a Treaty or an agreement with a foreign government?

I thought Trump was going to put us on a path to peace by withdrawing from the deal. It seems the exact opposite is happening. No doubt it is "anti-American" to point out the obvious.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

It is still very early. If nothing else president Trump has established he was very willing to have a diplomatic solution. If war comes one cannot blame president Trump's efforts to avoid it.

Iran was improving it's ballistic missile program when the Obama deal was in place, Ethereal. In fact, both Iran and Obama had always claimed Iran's missile programs weren't relevant to the nuclear talks. Correct?

The Obama administration’s careful reaction to Iran’s latest round of ballistic missile tests showcases the difficult balance the United States and its allies face in deciding how forcefully to push back, without undermining last summer’s nuclear deal.
Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s missile tests conducted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran did not violate the nuclear deal, the administration says, although the actions are likely inconsistent with a United Nations Security Council Resolution related to the issue.
That is because, from the beginning, the Obama administration has taken pains to say that the nuclear deal, which went into effect in January, was designed only to restrict Iran’s nuclear program.

Perhaps this isn't about US sanctions or the Obama Admin arrangements to prevent them from building nukes? Perhaps it's about Israel. Or Syria. Perhaps their need for a long range missile goes far beyond nuclear capacity, perhaps a surface to ship capacity in the Persian Gulf or a missile that can accurately cross the Persian Gulf.

Are you serious? To be clear it was not a treaty. It wasn't a treaty because Hussein Obama did not bother to take it to the Senate where he knew it would never pass. (Hint because it was a terrible deal). So he just did want he wanted. The next President then is entitled to do what he wanted to do. Pres Trump made the right call. Now that we have an American as President let it play out. The Iranians are throwing a hissy fit but are on the run. Just like everything else he does this is turning to gold.

God Bless American and God Bless Donald Trump

What did Donny say? As I didn't see Trump say anything about this incident. Just General Votel from the Pentagon.

He is. You just don't have a sophisticated enough grasp of how these things work and plan out to think two steps ahead. Turn off the CNN and MSNBC and look deeper.

Take time to learn about how nation states really act and why.
