Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o insisted he had no role in the bizarre hoax involving his "dead" girlfriend and told ESPN on Friday night that he was duped by a person who has since apologized to him.

It' such a sad story since literally just a couple of weeks ago he was the all-american boy and future NFL star. It' not nearly as bad as the lance armstrong stuff but it's surprising how fast some of these big stars can fall from grace.

well it's not comparable to Lance Armstrong except that they both make good bits of satire. Lance was a conspiracy of the ages, this was just really silly

Not at all. Manti's lies don't affect his game play at all,

Lance Armstrong cheated to win.

Manti's NFL prospects are not affected in any way shape or from.

This is nothing more than an embarrassment he'll have to live with for a long time.

well i think his draft prospect will hurt a little bit in the sense that it may drop a few spot because few people willingly draft well known head cases. but yeah it's not like he's going to go from first rounder to undrafted or anything.

He embarrased himself, Lance Armstrong embarrased an entire sport at the very least and probably more.
