I'm in downtown Ft Lauderdale. We had a cold snap yesterday but it's back up to 75 today and the 80s by the weekend.

Ach, I'm so envious! I'm a California 60s surfer girl, and ended up in Ohio, the armpit of the Midwest. How I miss my ocean!

nic34, a fellow Californian! I grew up in Santa Ana, south of LA (Dad was a Marine, stationed at El Toro)....so quite a long way from Santa Cruz. I think there may still be some of my buttprints in the sand at Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and Corona Del Mar. As much as I love southern California, my heart now belongs to the impossibly turquoise Caribbean. ~sigh~
