I thought I would start a fun thread. Anyone who wants to can choose a word of the day. Then anyone who wants to can make up a poem on the fly using that word. It could be fun.

So who ever is the first person to post that day can choose the word. Then the rest of us will make poems using that particular word for the rest of the day. Just bold the word that you would like to be the word of the day.

Who was this man
Who was he that appeared to have a tan

He grabbed them
Oh he grabbed them well

His business didnt do so good
He didnt always pay them like he should

Who was this man of mystery
His countenance glowing with the color of orange

A man of greatness, a man of power
If you were a woman becareful he might deflower

Who was this man who could not keep a cabinet
But seemed to attract Nationalists like a magnet

Who was this man who thought himself so wise
While the world only felt despise

I am made of him
He is who I am

He has risen since the dawn of time
He exists in all forms

Tonight I will miss him
Staring out at the sky filled with stars

Come morning he will return

Blazing orange like fire
He will light up the horizon

Desuetude

We shall dance tonight
And scare up the birds from their dreaming.
The clouds will roll back
To unveil a million pinpoints of light.

A warm wind will rustle the branches of the old sissoo tree
And the scent of a far off wood fire will drift in from the south.
Take my hand for the thousandth time and dance with me, old girl.
Just don't step on my desuetude.

For this piece of paper
good men no longer honor

When once for it
Good men have fought and died

39 names bear witness
The rest remained silent

The birthing of a Democracy
Was breathed into fruition

The map was drawn
A clear road to follow

As time has it
We have lost our way

The ghosts of the past
still ring out

But this piece of paper
Has fallen into desuetude

Pretty good.

She did what she usually does, make a fool of herself by posting nonsense.
