Can someone explain the points, level and karma to me?

Points - I'm not sure of the formula, but it's some combination of how many posts you make and reputation (karma), and thanks - given and received I believe.

Karma is made up I think of the "thanks" that you get and reputation bumps (that little star in the lower left-hand corner).

Giving and receiving are part of the mix I think also.

Something like that.

I probably fucked the explanation up, but that's how I understand it.

Oh - and look at the bottom of your moniker. You have "rep power" of 1 which means when you give reputation it has a minimal impact. My rep is 82 so when I rep someone it has a bigger impact.

Not bragging or anything like that, just explaining what that means.

The more you get repped and thanked, the higher your rep power gets.

Yeah, repping increases karma. So does getting thanks and they both increase rep power and points.

This is more complicated than I thought.

We used to have neg repping, I'm not sure why we got rid of it. It gets abused on most forums but it seemed that only a few people were getting nailed by it.

I wouldn't worry much about Karma here cause they sure don't give any

I have tried to lead by example if I like a post I Rep it first then thank it

But these people must be too damn lazy to click Rep first or too goddamn STINGY about they rep

Yeah they no longer have Negative Rep anymore because some people were overly PETTY and would spend hours neg repping every post if they didn't like somebody

It was WAY OVER ABUSED hence it was ended
