But what if you want to reply to more than one post, maybe two members said something you want to comment on, or you want to capture an exchange to provide context. For this you use what I call the "quote plus" button:

http://i.snag.gy/BwEt5.jpg

Click that for all but the last post and for the last post click reply with quote.

One glitch seems to be the posts you quote plussed, they seem to stick, so when you later reply with quote to another post in the same thread, you might also get your earlier quote plussed posts as well.

It doesn't always happen. If it does, you can edit them out.

Yeah !!

Slowly lower them feet first, don't wanna hurt their typing fingers.

Tis quite frustrating, especially a poster that's mildly incoherent

becomes extremely incoherent when you don't know who they're

responding to. Add to that first grade grammar and I just move on.

Back to this, a request for ADMIN, Adelaide : Could you look into the multi-quote bug? The bug where it sticks. You'd expect you'd multi-quote and then reply and get all the quotes in the reply, but after the reply the multi-quotes would clear. Instead, unless you go back and find each and unselect, they appear in subsequent posts.

Even a work around would be good and appreciated!

The bug is mention in this video explaining multi-quote:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AvuiVyJs0w

I can find many discussions of it: https://www.google.com/search?q=vbulletin+clear+multi-quote+site:www.vbulletin.com&espv=210&es_sm=122&biw=1536&bih=772. It may be related to versions, and may have been fixed in a version, but then reappeared in next. But I don't have access to techinical discussions like this (http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-388).

Which operating system are you using? I seem to be unable to replicate this bug using Chrome with Windows 7. I assume you have already tried clearing cookies (and yes, it does seem it would be a cookie related issue, as you said). Are others experiencing the same problem? There does not seem to be very much online about it, and I expect you saw the reference to the bug report and the subsequent fix. I will see if I can find a solution.

Not to belabor this but the problem is this:

As expected, the mutli-selected posts and the replied with quote posts are quoted in the reply.

3 Repeat step 2, Reply with Quote to yet another post.

What's expected is only the replied with quote post is quoted in the reply. The previously multi-selected posts should have cleared after step 2 and should not be re-quoted.
