As stated in http://thepoliticalforums.com/threads/6236-The-Political-Forums-Revised-Rules-and-Regulations:

Moderation of these rules and guidelines with be lighter under forum areas "The Political Forums" and "Politics and News", but will be stricter under "On the Serious Side" where more serious discussion is expected. This forum area is highlighted with a blue border. The stricter moderation will include thread banning as well as banning from the "On the Serious Side" section.

It seems some post some post there not realizing they are in the On the Serious Side section of the forum where we will moderate more strictly. The blue border color used to be a dark grey to let you know but that didn't seem to be noticed. So we (VIPs) have decided to change it to blue.

LOL! Now it is back to being unnoticed.

Let's see. If need be we'll return it to bright red again!

The solution, if lack of attention down there is a problem, would be to offer something worthy of attention.

People find good threads and posts usually.

Unless you get in a forum with a bump artist that is, there are a few spots on this board where I think your posts might get repeatedly bumped off.

Moving the serious side to the top of the page, and moving post to the lower part until people got used to it, would get it more attention than bright colors that make it hard to read, in my opinion.

But, without worthy posts, no placement or decoration will help.

What she meant was people once again fail to notice they are in On the Serious Side. Blue border might not be bright enough.

There's plenty discussion down there. As I think it was Peter once said we'd rather see less but better participation down there.

It's all mixed together under What's New? (http://thepoliticalforums.com/search.php?searchid=370823).

Again, we're not concerned with quantity but quality.

I prefer the lighter side.

Just go to the serious side sometimes, and would prefer not to suffer a visual assault.

And then there's Politics and News. Something for everyone as everyone has different tastes.

Do you always know what other people meant?

I notice only four of the threads showing in that section have even gotten a reply today, and I don't see any seriously unserious.

Of course not. I doubt most people even know what they themselves mean half the time.

Nothing so seriously unserious. I haven't even checked--that's for members to do. I think I posted once down there today, I forget.

In that case he did because I told him. Jeesh! Get a grip.

How about green or something....something different than blue but not as eye hurting as red.

We'll see how it goes for a while.
