You've been snookered. Look at this--even people over 70 have a 95% survival rate if they are infected. These numbers are from the CDC.

A CDC update Wednesday says individuals are more likely to survive the coronavirus after contracting it. The health agency says if you have the virus between the ages of 0 to 70, you have a 99% survival rate. And if you’re over 70, the survival rate is nearly 95%.

Gov. Ron DeSantis also tweeted about the update, saying people in the age groups of 0 to 19 have a 99.997% chance of survival if they contract COVID-19, the age group of 20 to 49 a 99.98% chance, 50 to 69 years old 99.5% and 70 years old and above a 94.6% chance.

It might be a little more credible now that Caputo is in the psych ward, but the CDC is nothing more than a propaganda wing of the White House.

True. None of them are cops anymore.

That's a step in the right direction

And so...? The fact that the disease is survivable by a large majority of those who contract it means that...what should change? Does a relatively small percentage of fatalities mean that masks should come off, distancing restrictions be revoked, etc.? I'm not giving you a hard time, FK, I'm just interested in what you think should happen or change as a result of those numbers.

Yes. Wear a mask if you want to. Isolate yourself if you want to.

No matter what do not enter a nursing home in a Democrat-run state. Its governor will kill you.

I think masks and distancing should be suggested but optional. I also think all schools should open full time, although elderly teachers and staff might want to take a break and stay home for now.

I think greater care should be taken in nursing homes, but that immediate family members should be allowed to visit their loved ones. The grandmother of an acquaintance of mine died last month in a nursing home near here (not of covid) and she died after not being allowed to see her family for five months. Well, I take that back, they did get to visit once a week, but they had to sit outside in the courtyard and yell through the glass (not even an open window) to her. It just confused her because she couldn't hear well and it made her cry, which made the granddaughter fighting mad.

At some point, we have to admit that mental and emotional health is at least somewhat important. Suicide rates are rising across the nation as are child abuse rates.

The CDC's new rates indicate that unless a person is old or feeble, they're probably not in any more danger from covid than they would be if the common flu was making the rounds. Recently, I also posted the inflated death numbers for covid. How can they possibly get by with that? At some point, there's going to have to be a reckoning and all the falsely counted deaths are going to have to be subtracted.

Our economy and our people have paid too great a cost to contain this virus. Let's make commonsense recommendations but let's make most of those voluntary, not mandatory.

We've been snookered.

If we reduce the speed limit to 10MPH, we could save thousands of lives. So, let's do it!

The economy killing lockdowns should end.

To me this indicates the lockdowns were/are a mistake, an overreaction.

But of course you are holding back evidence that the CDC has been sanitizing the numbers............., I dare you to release the evidence, I dare you!

Snicker.
