Hoping the whole 'you are what you eat' maxim works out with this one.

My Dad buys em by the pound. I suspect he's hoping they pay for themselves in terms of my GPA.

Is that stuff any good? I probably won't ever try any it seems so unappealing.

Have you tried the oversized ones? They are the size of quarter and much thicker than the regular ones. They are made a few miles away from me in Union.

I go into hillbilly mode from time to time. I like it and I used to chew more often. I just chew when I drink now.

I can't say I have, but I like the size they are now. If they were any bigger I'd probably crash from all the sugar.

I can see the appeal. Indulging in it with a drink from time to time would make it more of a treat, as long it isn't a habit.

Only outside too. When I drink for real I always walk. It's nice to stroll along and chew especially when it's warm out.

I only really like to drink outside. I love to sit around the bonfire pit with my friends and have a drink on a summer evening when it cools down.

I like the lemon flavored Tootsies. Never cared much for the chocolate ones.

Chooin' dessert croissants right now.....DAYUM they're good!

Dessert Croissants
Prep 10 min
Cook 10 min
Serves 4

1 Tube of Pillsbury croissant dough (8 croissants)
Strawberry cream cheese
No sugar added strawberry preserves
2-4 Tbsp Splenda Brown sugar/cinnamon blend
¼ stick butter

Unroll dough and lay out triangles. Smear about 1 tsp cream cheese in the croissant dough triangle near large end. Add a blob of about ½ tsp preserves. Roll up the croissant over filling, starting at the large end, and seal sides.

Melt butter over low heat and stir in brown sugar/cinnamon blend, cooking till just a little thick.

Brush the glaze over the croissants.

Bake at 350° until golden brown (10-12 min) and serve warm.

VARIATIONS OF FILLING
(ratio about 1 tsp 1st ingredient to ½ tsp 2nd ingredient)

- Any flavored cream cheese with complimentary jelly or preserves (i.e. blueberry)
- Plain cream cheese with any other flavor of jelly or preserves (i.e. peach, apple, apricot)
- Canned pie filling, chopped finely, may also be substituted for the preserves (cherry is an excellent choice)

I don't usually chew JRs, but I love 'em, and was eatin' 'em today. And I must say, much to my dentist's chagrin, I do occasionally chew them.

I can a dozen varieties of that but only a few brands of long leaf. You like the straight, huh?

Yeah, all my lowbrow friends chew cope. I never got into that, it's too finely cut. Makes a mess.

While my wife finds my habit... disgusting, she tolerates it. She'll even kiss me when I have a pinch in.

I drink a lot of diet sodas and buy them in plastic bottles - the 12oz variety. Make good dip bottles, my wife keeps a couple empties for me for the house.

I save empty cans of crushed tomatoes in case I need them. I rarely chew indoors though. The world is my spittoon!

I can't spit into anything other than a plastic bottle. Outdoors I'm fine, indoors - no cans, beer cans, cups - whatever. Upper lip thing, clean exchange.

You get a lot more juice with long leaf, in my experience. I can send that shit pretty far. :embarrassed:

You still thinking about coming down here for a weekend Mister D ? I just bought a new camper - bigger one. 28', sleeps like 6 people. Plenty of space, you're still welcome if you decide.

Picking it up tomorrow actually, I'll post pictures of it when it's in place. Ol'lady's coming down tomorrow also, kids finished with school, she's going to help me get it all set up.

Buddy of mine - nicknamed "moonhead". Big guy, pushing 500 chews side pouch but his schtick was packing it in there with a couple pieces of bubble yum.

I chewed Big Red for a while. And Mail Pouch although the latter was very dry compared to Big Red which was very moist.

Some guys at a gas station where I worked as a kid introduced me to the gum/tobacco. It was A LOT of juice.

I know, long drive. But if you're still up to it, let me know, my calendar fills up fast - we're booked through the middle of June, July 4th we're camping in upstate NY and the end of July we're heading down to the beach for a week. August is wide open tho, so is early July.
