When it comes to COVID hysteria, Edgar Stammers Primary Academy in Walsall, England, has to set some kind of special record.

That takes talent. But leave it to the can-do spirit of the Britishers to find some way to make all things worse.

So, as you know, we’ve all found ways to lower the bar when it comes to how we’re supposed to protect ourselves from the novel coronavirus.

I’m not even talking about mask mandates anymore.

A town in Iowa could pass a mandate in which you could be put in jail if you don’t wear a mask out in the middle of an empty cornfield at midnight and I wouldn’t even bat an eye. You never know who could be out there, after all. And those scarecrows could catch COVID-19 (https://www.westernjournal.com/cdc-sides-trump-makes-stunning-covid-announcement/?ff_source=Email&ff_medium=newsletter-CT&ff_campaign=dailypm&ff_content=conservative-tribune), or maybe the corn could catch it. Whatever. This is old hat for me.

It's not stupid if obedience is the objective.

Imagine what people could accomplish if they focused on better information.

What? Doesn't everyone eat mashed potatoes with their hands?

Here is a documentary on this issue

Yeah, I don't get the utensil-free thing, but in all honesty it's not like the kids were given an entire American-sized serving of mashed potatoes that they had to scoop up with their fingers and shovel into their mouths. The "pudding" in Yorkshire pudding is a misnomer, as it's really more along the lines of an open-faced sandwich kind of deal. No doubt most of the kids would have eaten it without utensils anyway, except for the ones who'd use a knife and fork to eat pizza or a taco.

I guess in the UK they don’t have disposable utensils sealed in plastic.

Obviously English history books are several hundred years out of date.

In 1874, this cute little thing was invented........

The Spork

And they've been sold and used by the billions since.

They don't have automatic dish washers, that will wash/sanitize the eating utensils?

What were they doing before covid, not washing them?

It's England, their hounds lick them clean.
