View Full Version : Over The Past Week, 5 Republican Lawmakers Have Suddenly Died

Have you noticed that quite a few prominent Republicans have been dropping dead lately? At a time of the year when most people are at home celebrating the holidays with their families, Republican lawmakers have been dying one after another. Of course important people die all the time, but to have this many Republican politicians die so closely to one another is definitely unusual. I believe that 2021 is going to be a very strange year, and it has definitely gotten off to a very strange start.

As the days move forward, let’s watch and see if the pattern continues and more Republicans suddenly pass away. For now, these are the deaths that we know about so far…

On January 1st, the death of Virginia State Senator Ben Chafin Jr. made headlines all over the country (https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/01/politics/virginia-state-senator-dies-covid-19/index.html)…

On January 2nd, Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus chairman Mike Reese suddenly died from “an apparent brain aneurysm” (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/gop-pennsylvania-house-member-dies)…

Reese was only 42 years old, and he was one of the most important members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Needless to say, a lot of pressure was being put on him from both sides because of the hotly contested election results in his state.

Also on January 2nd, a former state representative in Connecticut suddenly passed away (https://www.courant.com/politics/hc-pol--20210102-pqboinbn4zcwnowj2tlkhqtz5i-story.html)…

Haven't seen anything talk about any dems dying this week. This article only talks about the Reps that have died... And we know how they use covid for ANYTHING. People who have died from being stabbed, shot, motorcycle accidents.....diagnosed with covid.

Which is why he gives millions to charities......because he only cares about himself.

And why he's shown so many kindnesses to citizens in need:

In 1986, Trump prevented the foreclosure (http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/a-66-year-old-widows-farm-faced-foreclosure-then-trump-saved-the-day/) of Annabell Hill’s family farm after her husband committed suicide. Trump personally phoned down to the auction to stop the sale of her home and offered the widow money. Trump decided to take action after he saw Hill’s pleas for help in news reports.

In 1988, a commercial airline refused to fly Andrew Ten, a sick Orthodox Jewish child with a rare illness, across the country to get medical care because he had to travel with an elaborate life-support system. His grief stricken parents contacted Trump for help and he didn’t hesitate to send his own plane (http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/airline-couldnt-help-sick-child-so-donald-trump-came-to-the-rescue/) to take the child from Los Angeles to New York so he could get his treatment.

In 1991, 200 Marines who served in Operation Desert Storm spent time at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina before they were scheduled to return home to their families. However, the Marines were told that a mistake had been made and an aircraft would not be able to take them home on their scheduled departure date. When Trump got wind of this, he sent his plane (http://www.hannity.com/onair/the-sean-hannity-show-55176/200-stranded-marines-needed-a-plane-14727522/) to make two trips from North Carolina to Miami to safely return the Gulf War Marines to their loved ones.

In 1995, a motorist stopped to help Trump after the limo he was traveling in got a flat tire. Trump asked the Good Samaritan how he could repay him for his help. All the man asked for was a bouquet of flowers for his wife. A few weeks later Trump sent (http://www.hannity.com/articles/election-493995/a-couple-stopped-to-help-donald-14289119/) the flowers with a note that read: “We’ve paid off your mortgage.”

In 1996, Trump filed a lawsuit (http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB862335923489989500) against the city of Palm Beach, Florida accusing the town of discriminating against his Mar-a-Lago resort club because it allowed Jews and blacks. Abraham Foxman, who was the Anti-Defamation League Director at the time, said Trump “put the light on Palm Beach – not on the beauty and the glitter, but on its seamier side of discrimination.” Foxman also noted that Trump’s charge had a trickle-down effect because other clubs followed his lead and began admitting Jews and blacks.

In 2000, Maury Povich featured a little girl named Megan who struggled with Brittle Bone Disease on his show and Trump happened to be watching. Trump said the little girl’s storyand positive attitude touched his heart. So he contacted (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bY_QmA9Vu4) Maury and gifted the little girl and her family with a very generous check.

In 2008, after Jennifer Hudson’s family members were tragically murdered in Chicago, Trump put the Oscar-winning actress (https://www.accesshollywood.com/articles/donald-trump-puts-jennifer-hudson-family-up-for-free-in-chicago-hotel-66176/) and her family up at his Windy City hotel for free. In addition to that, Trump’s security took extra measures to ensure Hudson and her family members were safe during such a difficult time.

In 2013, New York bus driver Darnell Barton spotted a woman close to the edge of a bridge staring at traffic below as he drove by. He stopped the bus, got out and put his arm around the woman and saved her life byconvincing her to not jump. When Trump heard about this story, he sent the hero bus driver (http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/buffalo/bus-driver-prevents-woman-from-jumping-off-overpass-teaching-student-riders-a-lesson-in-compassion-20131029) a check simply because he believed his good deed deserved to be rewarded.

In 2014, Trump gave (http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/donald-trump-quietly-helped-marine-whom-obama-ignored/) $25,000 to Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi after he spent seven months in a Mexican jail for accidentally crossing the US-Mexico border. President Barack Obama couldn’t even be bothered to make one phone call to assist with the United States Marine’s release; however, Trump opened his pocketbook to help this serviceman get back on his feet.

In 2016, Melissa Consin Young attended a Trump rally and tearfully thanked Trump for changing her life. She said (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3514893/Donald-Trump-shares-emotional-moment-dying-ex-Miss-Wisconsin-rally-GOP-runner-wrote-hospice-home-care.html) she proudly stood on stage with Trump as Miss Wisconsin USA in 2005. However, years later she found herself struggling with an incurable illness and during her darkest days she explained that she received a handwritten letter from Trump telling her she’s the “bravest woman, I know.” She said the opportunities that she got from Trump and his organizations ultimately provided her Mexican-American son with a full-ride to college.

Lynne Patton, a black female executive for the Trump Organization, released (http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/05/06/black-female-trump-executive-slams-critics-in-viral-video-the-trump-family-i-know/) a statement in 2016 defending her boss against accusations that he’s a racist and a bigot. She tearfully revealed how she’s struggled with substance abuse and addiction for years. Instead of kicking her to the curb, she said the Trump Organization and his entire family loyally stood by her through “immensely difficult times.”

Patients with and without insurance have already been hit with staggering bills, despite a White House promise to cover their costs, according to patient advocates. The extent of the problem is still not fully known due to the lag time in settling medical claims.

Or what about this poor guy?
Retired piano dealer Michael Diehl says he has 30,000 reasons not to vote for Donald Trump for president.
The small businessman said he won a bid in 1989 to supply $100,000 worth of grand pianos to Trump's Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City but was still waiting to be paid months after delivery. The gambling mecca finally told him it ran into financial difficulties and could only give him 70 cents on the dollar.

Diehl, 88, told NBC News that even though he held up his end of the contract, he felt he had no choice but to take the discounted payment and lose $30,000 — or about a third of his yearly income.

Or them?
Some in South Jersey have a message for Trump: Pay your old Atlantic City casino bills

Of all the troubling accusations that have followed Trump into the White House, there is little talk these days of the trail of unpaid bills he left behind from his days as an Atlantic City casino mogul.

But for the carpenters, electricians, plumbers, window installers and other contractors who built Trump’s Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City three decades ago, the wounds from not being paid still fester.
“It’s terrible,” said Jenkins, who runs Triad Building Specialties. “I can’t stand Trump. I think he’s nothing but a snake oil salesman.”

Oh! Let's not forget he doesn't pay his taxes or cheats on them to save himself money of course.

Why not pay the people you have owed for years?

Hundreds Claim Donald Trump Doesn't Pay His Bills in Full (nbcnews.com) (https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/hundreds-claim-donald-trump-doesn-t-pay-his-bills-n589261)

Trump still owes money to contractors who built Taj Mahal casino (northjersey.com) (https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/columnists/mike-kelly/2020/01/24/donald-trump-still-owes-money-to-contractors-who-built-taj-mahal-atlantic-city/4547037002/)

Oh! Let's not forget he doesn't pay his taxes or cheats on them to save himself money of course.

Why not pay the people you have owed for years?

Ask him, I'm not his accountant.

None of that has a thing to do with Trump giving millions to charities.

It is just like everywhere else. If you don't comply with the rules of mask wearing, social distancing etc., you are going to have a spike in cases. Now, it seems they were low on PPE so I'm not quite understanding how all these people have access to masks?

1. What is the current status of the SNS? And does the SNS have enough PPE in each of its categories (e.g., gloves, face shields, N95 respirations) on hand to deal with a potential surge of cases?
a. Does HHS and FEMA have a distribution plan in place to deal with a rise in COVID-19 and seasonal influenza cases?
b. How will ASPR's latest agreement with IHS to use the same vendors for the SNS and IHS's National Supply Service Center allow IHS to respond in a timelier manner to requests from Tribes, Tribal public health authorities, and Urban Indian health programs who may be at risk of becoming hotspots?
c. What changes is FEMA making to its data systems to ensure that Tribes' requests are not deprioritized during an expected second wave of COVID-19?
2. How much PPE has the Administration allocated explicitly for use by New Mexico and its Tribal communities? Of this amount, how much PPE has been currently transferred over to the state for storage?
a. How much PPE has been allocated/delivered to Albuquerque and Navajo IHS service areas? Additionally, how much PPE has been delivered explicitly for New Mexico Tribal relative to each requested amount?
b. If the state has not yet received its PPE request, by what date can New Mexico expect to receive its supplies?
3. Considering that the IHS, Tribal health authorities, and Urban Indian Organizations have limited access to the SNS, have HHS and FEMA consulted with Indian Tribes or conferred with urban Indian health programs and Tribal epidemiology centers about PPE distribution and allocation? And, if so, how have HHS and FEMA incorporated feedback from Tribes, urban Indian organizations, Tribal epidemiology centers, or IHS into any distribution and allocation decisions?

The entire state was shut down for months, still pretty much is, it would have been near impossible for anyone to enter any business, without a mask, it simply was not allowed, the entire state requires the wearing of masks, for anyone, any time they're in public .

They've closed the Zuni Reservation, no one goes in, unless you're driving straight through without stopping, there's an officer on the other end, watching for you to come through.....they've been doing that since May.

The town of Gallup was closed to non-residents for weeks, roadblocks were in place.

All of this, since April/May, yet, they're still in trouble.

None of what you posted really says much, it's just a bunch of questions and, what ifs possibilities, etc......nothing that says they are out of PPE.

But, it doesn't look like any of what they did and, they went to extremes, did much good.

They may as well just toss everything, open up everything and, let people decide for themselves.

When asked, point blank, for details of what they mean by their tirades against Trump, they have nothing but why they personally hate him......they can cite no policies, because, Trump has done so much more FOR this country, than any other president I can remember .

They use his response to covid a lot, as an excuse.....well, his response was right in line with what was needed at that time, with what was known, they seem to forget about Trump wanting to halt air travel almost immediately but, it was DEMOCRATS who said, "what for ", then proceeded to call Trump racist and xenophobic, for even suggesting such a thing......then, when it got worse, they started screaming about Trump NOT having shut down air travel SOONER!

Trump Didn’t Botch the Coronavirus Response, Andrew Cuomo Did

You really should direct you're wrath at Trump's CDC.

Considerations for new admissions or readmissions to the facility

Newly admitted and readmitted residents with confirmed COVID-19 who have not met criteria for discontinuation of Transmission-Based Precautions (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/disposition-hospitalized-patients.html) should go to the designated COVID-19 care unit.
Newly admitted and readmitted residents with COVID-19 who have met criteria for discontinuation of Transmission-Based Precautions can go to a regular unit.

If Transmission-Based Precautions have been discontinued, but the resident with COVID-19 remains symptomatic (i.e., persistent symptoms or chronic symptoms above baseline), they can be housed on a regular unit but should remain in a private room until symptoms resolve or return to baseline. These individuals should remain in their rooms to the extent possible during this time period. If they must leave their rooms, facilities should reinforce adherence to universal source control policies and social distancing [e.g., perform frequent hand hygiene, have the resident wear a cloth face covering or facemask (if tolerated) and remain at least 6 feet away from others when outside of their room].

Create a plan for managing new admissions and readmissions whose COVID-19 status is unknown. Options include placement in a single room or in a separate observation area so the resident can be monitored for evidence of COVID-19.

Health Secretary Rachel Levine said Tuesday that she had removed her 95-year-old mother from a personal care home amid a statewide coronavirus outbreak (https://www.pennlive.com/news/2020/05/coronavirus-testing-still-lags-creating-a-possible-impediment-for-pa-reopening-efforts.html) that has been particularly devastating to facilities that house elderly populations.

STATE leadership were the ones responsible for what guidelines, IF ANY, were used/applied in their states. NOT Trump.
And, the CDC is NOT solely a government entity:

CDC accepts private funding – NOT ONLY GOVERNMENT! The CDC is quasi-government under the Department of Health and Human Services which strangely has sources of funding that are predicated on the fact that it also has a private 501(c)(3) public charity, like the Clinton Foundation. The CDC Foundation receives charitable contributions and philanthropic grants from individuals, foundations, corporations, universities, NGOs and other organizations to advance the work of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is NOT a government-funded organization. It is not exclusively a government-funded – very curious.

BackgroundSARS-CoV-2 infection is transmitted predominately by respiratory droplets generated when people cough, sneeze, sing, talk, or breathe. CDC recommends community use of masks (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html), specifically non-valved multi-layer cloth masks, to prevent transmission of SARS-CoV-2. Masks are primarily intended to reduce the emission of virus-laden droplets (“source control”), which is especially relevant for asymptomatic or presymptomatic infected wearers who feel well and may be unaware of their infectiousness to others, and who are estimated to account for more than 50% of transmissions.1,2 Masks also help reduce inhalation of these droplets by the wearer (“filtration for personal protection”). The community benefit of masking for SARS-CoV-2 control is due to the combination of these effects; individual prevention benefit increases with increasing numbers of people using masks consistently and correctly.

So you think the nursing home patients caught it from going to a party in Times Square?
Actually, they were most likely infected by patients that were known or suspected of having Covid. Now some were also most likely infected by workers or visitors that may have been infected before visitors were barred. Few Nursing facilities have effective isolation areas, older facilities are even more at risk, so having known infected or symptomatic suspected patients enter that facility was a recipe for disaster. While it is accepted asymptomatic people can spread the virus multiple studies have shown that asymptomatic transmission is more difficult and less likely than symptomatic people transmitting it.

Florida did a good job of trying to protect their nursing home residents. As soon as they found one was infected, they removed them and sent them to the hospital. Where as, Cuomo intentionally did just the opposite.

She, or any other democrats, can teach us nothing, unless its how to cheat in an election.....now THAT, they can tell you all about.
I believe you have memory issues. I have posted constantly and consistently for months now about my tirades regarding Trump. I have also commented on his policies, covid, his horrific way of handling ANYTHING that goes on in the United States. He's ruined relationships with our allies, and he's killing our democracy. How many of these people took him to court over these?

At least 60 lawsuits, along with hundreds of liens, judgments, and other government filings reviewed by the USA TODAY NETWORK, document people who have accused Trump and his businesses of failing to pay them for their work. Among them: a dishwasher in Florida. A glass company in New Jersey. A carpet company. A plumber. Painters. Forty-eight waiters. Dozens of bartenders and other hourly workers at his resorts and clubs, coast to coast. Real estate brokers who sold his properties. And, ironically, several law firms that once represented him in these suits and others.

Just the tip of the iceberg....

The fault is in trying to say that every nursing home breakout was the same. They could have been staff in one case and patients in another. In any case, only an idiot would put COVID cases directly into a nursing home with uninfected patients. Governor Cuomo was a bigger idiot than he appears to be.
Remember that they know ground zero in WA state in the nursing home and a was one Chinese worker that just returned from home. Insiders admit he was an illegal and he flew in through Canada to avoid detection, but you do not have to believe that to know that a staff member was the one to carry in the virus.

Holy crap! How many freaking times do I have to post this until it gets through your thick head!

In a July (https://www.health.ny.gov/press/releases/2020/2020-07-06_covid19_nursing_home_report.htm) analysis of COVID-19 nursing home deaths, the state concluded that the deadly virus was introduced by nursing home staff members rather than sick patients.
It noted that peak nursing home resident mortality from COVID-19 on April 8 preceded the peak influx of COVID patients on April 14. In addition, it found that nearly 1 in 4 nursing home workers — 37,500 people — were infected with the virus between March and early June.
Based on these and other factors, the report concluded that the state admissions policy could not have been a driver of nursing home infections or fatalities.

What kind of convoluted nonsense are you posting?

The story itself used poor semantics to reach a very false conclusion. They admit COVID patients were being put into nursing homes before the April 8th peak. Just because they may have put more in after is hardly relevant to a continuation spread. The most vulnerable already having died STUPID!

And workers who were infected between March and early June are many long after the April dates in question. How many got COVID at work on the job will never be known.

Not to mention that asymptomatic healthcare workers with COVID are not coughing and sneezing like sick people being put into homes. The problem is shared air in these often crowded locations and Gov Cuomo packed them with more COVID sick to spare his failed hospitals.

It is well established that Trump briefly knew the creep before booting him from his Hotels. What we don't see is any evidence of Trump on Trips to the exclusive private parties and resort locations like Bill Clinton and other prominent Democrats.

What are you talking about? Trump strengthened our relationships with other countries and, the ones he pissed off? Are the ones Obama spent 8 years kissing ass! So, so what?

And, if Trump was the cheater? It'd be you $#@!ing about voter fraud and, insisting we get to the bottom of it.

Really? Which countries would that be? The only thing I can tell you is, the US is less respected, and less influential than it ever has been because of Trump. Allies have now begun to situate themselves without the US. Our stupid leader is not dependable. Instead of fighting issues such as climate change, nuclear proliferation, and pandemics, the US is making it worse.

Trump has done plenty to torpedo his own reputation abroad but none of his failings have reflected so poorly on America itself than his refusal to mount anything resembling a defense against this virus. Last January there was a Pew Research Study done and found that confidence in Trump flat lined from the 78% approval of Obama in his last year in office to a paltry 31% for Trump. Trump was giddy upping with dictators, disparaging allies, starting trade wars, ripping up multilateral agreements, and embarrassing himself.

In September, Pew did another research study. It found that confidence in Trump dipped dramatically to 16%, while the average favorability of the United States dropped from 53% to 31%. Other countries feel there is something fundamentally wrong with the US and it all starts at the top.

But have no fear - Biden will re-establish our relationships with our allies.

That's a lot of crock and you know it. You can't wrap your head around what I posted that in fact, the nursing home staff were the ones who were asymptomatic and spreading it to the patients. Just can't believe that can ya? Uh huh.....

If the staff can spread the virus they can do so much more efficiently when it is in house. Otherwise the numbers in NH would be similar regardless of whether King Andy sent death to their door or not.
NH typically close floors over the flu because it too can be deadly in their business. It works despite no doubt asymptomatic staff.

And what about those poor people who need help with their COVID care bills?

Patients with and without insurance have already been hit with staggering bills, despite a White House promise to cover their costs, according to patient advocates. That’s because health care providers and insurers are classifying some complications as distinct from the virus during the billing process.

Yes yes, Trump is the root of all evil as he is neither a DC insider nor does he bow to them and their corporate overlords.

But you no doubt felt the same about Bush while praising Obama. Other posters loved Bush and saw Obama as the root of all evil. But the truth is they were cut from the same poilitical cloth and Bushbama was nothing but 16 years of sameness! Corporate welfare, constant war, rhetoric only to address illegal immigration, record setting spending and debt with nothing to show for it.

This divisionism allowed the swamp critters on both "sides" to gain power and they will stop at nothing to keep that power . They know that the average American voter is too polarized, too tribal to police their own. We have therefore lost almost all say in government by allowing ourselves to become cartoonish fans rather than voters.
