View Full Version : The Radical Left Democrats

Republicans like to say that they want to protect us against the “radical left” Democrats. What they fail to mention is that MANY Republicans are “radical right” Republicans.

So what we have here is the “radical right” versus the “radical left”. For example:

- On Covid relief, the radical left wants MORE money for our governors, our mayors, and average Americans who are suffering from the Covid problem, which was exacerbated by Trump’s gross mismanagement of that problem. In contrast, the radical right wants LESS money for those groups, and they want MORE money in tax breaks for people who already have lots of money.

- On combating the Covid problem, the radical left supports Biden who believes that we need to rely on science to make the problem go away. In contrast, the radical right supports Trump who believes that we can rely on bleach, light bulbs, and magic to make the problem go away.

- When informing the public about the Covid problem, the radical left supports Biden who believes that the government should be honest with the American people, and should convey information based on medical science. In contrast, the radical right supports Trump who (as the Woodward tapes reveal) lied to the American people, and downplayed the danger of the virus, when he KNEW that it was VERY dangerous and VERY contagious.

- The radical left supports safety nets that benefit average Americans (for example, Social Security and Medicare). The radical right does not. However, they do support tax breaks for people who already have lots of money.

- The radical left supports safety nets that benefit low-income Americans (for example, food stamps and Medicaid). The radical right does not. Furthermore, the radical right opposes increases in the minimum wage which could mitigate the need for these safety nets.

- The radical left supports agencies and regulations that protect the environment (for example, the water we drink and the air we breathe.) The radical right does not.

- On climate change, the radical left supports Biden who believes in science, and who believes that climate change is real and is dangerous. In contrast, the radical right supports Trump who is scientifically illiterate, and who believes that climate change is a Chinese hoax.

- And finally, the radical left believes that ALL Americans who have the Constitutional right to vote should be allowed to vote. In contrast, the radical right believes in voter suppression (that is, the suppression of voters who are likely to vote for Democrats). And the radical right supports a president who destroyed MILLIONS of dollars worth of OUR Post Office equipment, in order to suppress pro-Democrat votes in the 2020 election.

The radical right is now parroting Trump’s accusations that the election was stolen from him thru wide spread voter fraud, even though they KNOW that there is NO evidence to support those accusations.

That is, the radical right KNOWS that Barr’s Department of Justice found NO evidence of wide spread voter fraud. And they KNOW that vast majority of Trump’s lawsuits were dismissed, because his lawyers could NOT present any evidence of wide spread voter fraud. And furthermore, they KNOW that Trump is a serial liar and a con artist, that he habitually makes thing up, and that he is easily duped by baseless conspiracy theories.

Bottom line: The radical right KNOWS that when Trump makes accusations that the election was stolen from him, HE is ACTUALLY trying to steal the election from Biden. Thus, when the radical right parrots Trump’s accusations, THEY are ALSO trying to steal the election from Biden.

In addition to parroting Trump’s accusations about voter fraud (aka, Trump’s lies about voter fraud), a number of the radical right Republicans plan to create chaos during the Congressional certification process, by objecting to the outcome of the 2020 election.

On top of that, Trump is calling on his fans to gather in Washington for the certification process, and he is encouraging them to commit violence if Biden’s election is certified. The radical right Republicans are aware of this, but they STILL support him. Furthermore, some of them are ALSO encouraging this violence.

Let’s hope that there is no violence. Some fear that Trump will use our military to stop the violence (the violence that HE incited).

As MOST of us know, what Trump and the radical right Republicans are doing is an existential threat to our democracy, and a major step toward authoritarianism. Perhaps the radical right Republicans should change the name of their party.

I have a few suggestions: the Radical Right Republicans; the Banana Republicans; the Sedition Party; the Insurrection Party; the Subversion Party; the Pro-Chaos Party; the Pro-Treason Party; the Pro-Coup Party; the Anti-Constitution Party; the Anti-Democracy Party; Democracy Haters; Democracy Destroyers; Democracy Saboteurs; the Trump Mob; Trump’s Pawns; Trump’s Gofers; Trump’s Puppets; Trump’s Useful Idiots; MAGAts; Low-Lives; Traitors; RepublicaNazis.

We know who wants to protect us from the radical left Democrats. But who’s going to protect us from the radical right Republicans? As we can ALL see, the radical right Republicans seem to want a Trump dictatorship over a democracy, while the radical left Democrats obviously want a democracy over a dictatorship. Bottom line: We need the radical left Democrats to protect us from the radical right Republicans.

I suggest you provide some links to back up those falsehoods that swirl in your head.
But if any of it were true, you would have already provided them.

There's a lot there; how about you post the ones that are false and show why they're false?

Thanks for the talking points. Anything else you would like to parrot?

What statement is wrong?

The republicans do not want to manage COVID. They don't want to give the people back their money to survive during the pandemic restrictions. They are trying to overturn the election and put Trump back in office.

Which of the statements above are not accurate?

Please tell me that whatever your job is in government, it is one that does not require critical thinking or objective data analysis.

About the only thing the OP makes clear by his collection of talking points is he looks at politics from leftist eyes.
