Violence begets violence. Some things never change. Some people never learn the difference between rhetoric and prediction. Some believe something can’t happen until it does Democracy is a fragile thing.
The left has been told repeatably that the violence in the streets by Antifa, BLM and their allies was going to come home to roost. America isn’t about burning and looting. How looting a store for a big screen tv helps whatever cause you have isn’t explainable. Watching the police having their hands cuffed while Molotov Cocktails and Roman Candle are shot at the police has an effect and it isn’t a good one.
The left stood idly by while their allies damaged the cities. They rarely spoke up and then it was usually to justify the rioting. Their leaders were silent. Their leaders allowed thugs to take control of parts of the cities and for the police to stand down.
Biden called the right chumps and dregs of society to go along with deplorables. This was supposed to somehow unite the country. This was somehow supposed to bring us together to iron out our differences. The lefts idea of ironing out our differences was for the right to surrender.
Now the blowback has come. Whether this is the beginning of a war or a one off event remains to be seen. Imagine what it would have been had the people who took the Capitol Building over had been armed with rifles and bombs. They could have killed the House, members, the Senate members and shut the government down. Their are 2000 Capitol Police, 1400 NG, the entire DC police and it took all them to stop the riot. Can theydo that in every Capitol?
The left had better wake up. They need to figure out that we are no more invulnerable from Storming the Bastille and storming the gates of St. Petersburg than those governments were. They believed no one would or could do anything about the government. They were destroyedand replaced with government much worse.
The left needs to realize that the rhetoric isn’t meaningless statements. The left had better recognize that democracy is a fragile thing and their control can only go so far.
