I am amazed today about peanut allergies. Two grandkids have peanut allergies. We were poor and grew up on peanut butter. I still eat it often, large tablespoons. lol My wife from a more wealthy family had lots of allergies. Humans are curious creatures. The old roll of the DNA dice.

Another viewpoint below.

"A pair of new studies, however, takes a fresh look at why allergies occur and provides the first evidence that those bodily responses may be no accident at all. Rather, they could be the body’s way of protecting us against toxins in the environment."

That picture of Raleigh is an every year event where I am. The yellow pollen dust covers the cars, mixes with dew and cannot be hosed off. It takes hot water and wiping the car down. It is an irritant. What comes next bothers more people and you can't see it. Wisteria.

We get the same thing here except it's Mountain Cedar.

There is some evidence that our environment is so clean today that the immune system over reacts.

Also, data that women having children from multiple fathers may be a factor.
