Fucking Tebow

The one game I would have liked to see him win, he tanks. Just when I'm almost ready to eat my words.

Conley
12-19-2011, 08:51 PM
I still think he's a good QB. He's not great but he looked better even in that loss than he did early in the season. He has the tools to make it work - just needs the practice IMO. Make no mistake, Denver has a horrible roster. They've gotten rid of their best two catching threats (Lloyd and Marshall) in consecutive years.

Unlike a lot of QBs he's fine with throwing it in the dirt instead of throwing the INT. A guy can win a Super Bowl just managing a game, ask Eli or back in the day, Dilfer. Of course you need a kickass D but still...

Captain Obvious
12-19-2011, 08:58 PM
Yeah, Ben was labeled a game manager for his first couple years.

Unless you have a fairly solid team around you, being a good game manager isn't going to get you far. The NFL is constantly changing the game rules to open up the scoring opportunities. I don't know how well that plays into game managing.

Conley
12-19-2011, 09:05 PM
Wallace is a freaking juggernaut. That is all.

Yep, Tom Brady (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5228/) was preparing to march the Patriots 80 yards for a game-clinching touchdown and choke the life out of Tebow Time, and you’d best believe the three-time Super Bowl champion wasn’t stressed out for a second.

Another pick.....Steelers need to remember to play smashmouth football. Rothinsburger(aka; the Meat)needs to quit looking for the big play. Beat them down with the run and those screens. We know the NFL doesnt like it but Smashmouth wins 9 times out of 10 against West Coast offenses.

CL is right they have designed the league around the QB and the pass. Handicapping Defenses. Thats why when they run and especially down the sidelines. I don't mind seeing the QB get clocked.

Last summer, construction began on the huge mansion being built for Gisele Bundchen and her husband Tom Brady.
Now, almost 18 months later, the £20million home nestled deep in a canyon in the affluent Los Angeles district of Brentwood is almost ready for the model and the American football player to move in.

The house, which will home Gisele, 31, Tom, 34, and their two-year-old son Benjamin, is 22,000-square feet and boasts eight bedrooms.
It has a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with spa, a weight room forn Tom to train in and a wine cellar.
The two wings are connected by a bridge and there's a nursery for Benjamin, a lift and a butler's room.

The couple bought the land in 2008 for $11 million and had plans drawn up for the property which they then had amended as they didn't think the building was big enough.
Thankfully, money is no object for the young couple who are worth almost $90million, thanks to her modelling and his NFL contract with the New England Patriots, and various endorsements.

Their neighbours will include Arnold Schwarzenegger and Heidi Klum and her singer husband Seal.
Tom also liked the location as he will be close to his four-year-old son John from his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, who is best known for her role as Natasha in Sex and the City.....snip~

He up and moved to the West Coast.....

MMC

Uh yep.....there was a game and Indy Stuns Houston with a 19-16 Win.

Reggie Wayne followed the script Thursday night. And just like his previous 11 seasons in Indianapolis, he had it down. Wayne made one of his trademark moves to outmaneuver a Houston defensive back with 19 seconds left, freeing himself for a 1-yard touchdown catch that gave the Colts a stunning 19-16 victory over AFC South champion Houston.....snip~

Conley

Yup, I saw that. Crazy thing is that the win might mean Indy doesn't get to draft Luck. But I think there are plenty of other good QBs, like RGIII and there are no sure things anyway. Luck could turn out to be a bust for all we know.

Except the Packers-Bears on Sunday and Atlanta-NO on Monday.

Should be a bunch of great games down the stretch I'm hoping.

Conley
12-23-2011, 05:29 PM
Glad I could help ya out brother that's why I posted it. :yo2: Though, your Bears are still on Sunday. In a way the Packers' loss last week will probably make it tougher, they won't be sleeping on this game.

MMC
12-23-2011, 05:50 PM
The Packers will play it safe.....it will be poetic justice to see the Superbowl Champs get knocked out in the first round just like the Patriots did.

More than likely I will be home in time for the game. We are eating early and then heading up to see my mother. I will probably make it thru the first half before I will have to crash and get ready for work that night.

Rex Ryan went after Jacobs (Giants) after the game? What a tool...I thought he was a good coach but he's losing it. Besides Jacobs is a HUGE dude, I wouldn't want any part of him!

"[Ryan] is a very disrespectful (b-------)," running back Brandon Jacobs (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/8524/brandon-jacobs) said in an interview on the field after the game with ESPN's Sal Paolantonio. "I'm glad we came out here and gave it to him. I wish I got a chance to go over there on that sideline. He is disrespectful. I understand why [offensive coordinator Kevin] Gilbride and [Ryan's] pop got into it a long time ago because they all talk too much."

"They got a big-mouthed coach, a big mouth and a big-bellied coach that talks too much and now it's finally time to shut up," he added.
Jacobs said he and the Jets coach exchanged words on the field after the Giants' victory. According to the Giants running back, Ryan approached him and the two got into it verbally.

"I didn't really say too much to him," Jacobs said. "He told me shut the F up, wait till we win the Super Bowl. And I told him I'd punch him in the face."

Da Bears game really isnt that significant other than they could cause the packers to move one step closer to that number one seed spot. But look at all who they are saying isnt going to play.

Yeah, it was a rough year for the Bears with injuries. It reminds me of last year with San Diego, everyone gave Norv Turner a pass because of the injuries. Which IMO is a BS excuse and just meant that it took one year longer to fire him. If you look back at Green Bay last year they had a huge number of injuries, #1 or #2 in the league in guys on IR and then ended up winning the Super Bowl. Good coaches find a way to win, I am sorry that the injuries will probably buy Lovie, Martz and Co. another year. It is weird to think if they had beaten Green Bay in Week 17 last year we wouldn't even be having this discussion. The Bears maybe could have won the SB even...crazy.

Well Lovie did get another year Extension.....although many round here call him Sleepy. I say Useless is a better term. He is real good at bringing in other losing coaches and players that nobody else wants. Got to hand it it to him there. Plus he is good with Eating Mickey D's. If you wanted the most lackluster Coach in the all of the NFL all one needs do is look at Lovie Smith. I know he tries to convince everybody that he has a passion for the game. But really, someone needs to let him know passion is more than a yawn and a stretch.

Da Bears havent had any good coaches since Ditka left. It's been downhill ever since. They even had Wannabe Coach Mike Wannstedt. Who then went to Miami an destroyed that organization with Parcells. Course DeAngelo brought Lovie in from St Louis. When Martz was the Head Coach over Smith.

So more than likely it will be what you say and we will watch them take D Bears down another notch. Martz is about to find out he isnt going to be picked by anybody for Head-Coach. Not with Cowher, Grudin, and the former Ravens Coach all coming back. maybe offensive Coordinator bout it.

Tonights game comes with a 3hr pre-game special. I hope they make all those announcers sit outside up there in GB. Do all their interviews while stuttering thru the cold. It's going to be in the low 30's here with High winds. So in GB its' going to be freezing cold.

MMC

I figured it would be painful for Da Bears. Although I like the fact that Bell gives Forte something to think about. Still it is as I said the Bears Defense is overhyped due to Urlacher, Briggs and Peppers. The Only bright spot is the rookie safety not Steltz.

Either way GB will be that number one seed. But their defense can be beat. Again Smashmouth football is the way to beat them. It's clear they are weak against the run.

No turnovers and no penalties for GB in GB on Christmas Day. Thanks for the Christmas gift Mr Referee and linesmen. How many on the Bears minus the interference calls?

Yeah Peanut is good.....but he has lost a step or two. Plus he is their only 6 ft CB. Still he's what a 9 or 10 yr veteran of the game.

2 TDs by Rodgers at the line with the inside slant. Thats on the coaching . As the defenders are suppose to cut off the inside slant with the chuck at the line. That way Rodgers can't quick release like that. Stupid mistakes. Not to mention Marenelli and the play it safe routine.

Conley
12-26-2011, 12:35 AM

Nine years for Tillman but some CBs last a long time, plus he might be able to switch to safety as his foot speed slows down. Like you said the D did not look good tonight.

He is definately good when playing up tight on recievers but he can't handle with the fly anymore. Plus he is to small for safety. Or I should say to light. Moore and Jennings are not bad and are young. But then they are small and can always be beat in goal ine defense with the jump ball.

1 more game and season is over. Can ya believe it?

I didn't really think about it until you said it. Yeah, pretty crazy. TBH as rough as this season was for our teams, I think the Bears will still have a shot at the playoffs next year with Cutler and Forte back. Say what you will about the coaches but they had a legit shot at the playoffs before all those injuries. I think the Chargers will have to rebuild and they're going to get worse before they get bette. Thats it.....game. Atl couldnt have the Saints take a 2 TD lead. There's no coming back from that unless brees just wants to throw the game.
