They can do things our closest genetic match (chimps) cannot do. They can read our emotions and they can understand pointing. No other animal can do that.

I love dogs.

That's a fact. If I get upset (whether it's anger or sadness or whatever) about something, Jake is so in tune with me that he can "feel" it, even from another room. He comes running, jumps into my lap, and drowns me with kisses until I pet him and tell him I'm OK. I have had some crying jags over the state of my health during the last year.....but he NEVER allows me to cry alone. I love dogs too!

thanks trinnity i am just not real good at posting stuff....i love my dogs and my cats too....one of my cats...is so sweet...if anyone is sick...a person or another animal ..he will take up with them till they are well again...

i have a friend who has a 'golden doodle'... sweetest dog in the world... beautiful. but a total delinquent. they've done the training classes with him...

he eats the furniture and is now relegated to the kitchen

lol stumpy got tossed out training classes.....i love what we put up with from our pets....he eats the furniture so lets put him in the kitchen.....where he can eat what...o cabinets

my son thought it was fun to train thor to be with me....'stay with momma' now if i go out...thor is right there...if i am in the house...he will go out in the yard and run about with buddy....the minute i step outside he is there...bumping my hand....so i know he is there...like you can miss a 100 lb doberman? back when we had meter readers...the meter reader ask me to stay inside when he got here....dogs were no problem till i walked outside...then they acted like they had never seen him before...thor will also jump into the ups truck and search it..for hidden goodies...that is a hoot...i dread the winters solstice when he can get ahold of ohama steaks...
