Why men are reading romance novels... (https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/books/a37094392/men-reading-romance-novels/?utm_source=digg) They can revitalize your sex life, leading to some good, not-so-clean fun.

If I offered you something that enriched your sex life, deepened your connection with your partner, and made you more emotionally literate, you would, I assume, think you'd stumbled onto a questionable supplements website. Well, I'm not selling pills, I'm talking about romance novels. For guys. Which is not as strange as it might sound.

According to the nonprofit Romance Writers of America (https://www.rwa.org/Online/Resources/About_Romance_Fiction/Online/Romance_Genre/About_Romance_Genre.aspx?hkey=dc7b967d-d1eb-4101-bb3f-a6cc936b5219), 18 percent of romance fiction readers are men. Fully one-third of erotic audiobooks are downloaded by guys, another report says (https://www.thebookseller.com/news/third-erotic-audiobooks-downloaded-men-731721). In a billion-dollar industry comprising (https://www.rwa.org/Online/Resources/About_Romance_Fiction/Online/Romance_Genre/About_Romance_Genre.aspx?hkey=dc7b967d-d1eb-4101-bb3f-a6cc936b5219) 23 percent of the adult fiction market, that’s a lot of dudes. Overall, romance is the second-most-popular genre in American fiction, below only thrillers, yet there’s still archaic stigma about romance novels and the people who read them, rooted in sexism and snobbery. I’m here to tell you that romance novels are for guys—in fact, they’re for anyone who wants to live a more emotionally rich life.

Mr. Utley... some things are just better left unknown.

Society is falling apart fast enough as it is. This is just one more symptom.

American men are becoming more and more metrosexual types.

I actually cannot even accept the premise that 23 percent of the romance novels are read by men.
This sounds more lie the left trying to tell us that 2-3% of people who say they are gay is significant in everyday life.

When 50 Shades of Grey came out, each volume did the rounds with all of the married couples at the bar, as far as I know, the wives were reading them to the husbands before bed time (something about an aphrodisiac effect LOL)...

Have you ever read any of this crap? I've read a few paragraphs here and there out of curiosity. It is vapid, inane horseshit.
