Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday demanded an immediate halt to controversial NATO-led night raids and for foreign forces to stop entering Afghan homes, his spokesman said.
The comments come after NATO on Monday defended the operations as the safest way of targeting insurgent leaders, insisting they will continue but with the increasing involvement of Afghan special forces.

"He doesn't want any foreigner to go to the homes of Afghans and search their homes."
Karzai has led public criticism, saying they endanger lives and harass communities, and repeatedly called on international forces to stop entering Afghan homes.

"What NATO officials say is in total contradiction to the decisions of the loya jirga, to the demands of the Afghan people reflected in the loya jirga, and it is in total contradiction to what the president of Afghanistan wants," Faizi said.
"More importantly this will have a negative impact on the process of signing the strategic partnership document with the US.".....snip~

Karzai keeps stabbing us in the back as well. How many trips to Iran has he had now? Time to pull up from Afghanistan. Before our guys literally start to get shot in the back. Note we say only 1% of innocent casualties are affected. That these raids are the best way to remove the Taliban off the battlefield. The Afghanis don't care.

Our attempts to remove them from power were not a war on Islam and they certainly weren't a war on the Taliban.

You are right there G-Man.....which is why all this time thru this last year we have been in Secret talks with the Taliban. Which took them most of the year just to get the Taliban to come to the table.
