Check this out.....someone was saying US soldiers were using Cloaks of invisibility. Not that I am saying we are or aren't. But just like it says in the this video. What is that?

This is awesome. I came up through the old light infantry school where you would carry more weight that you were. And my lower back has hurt every day for the last 24 years.

Like you Peter.....I came up the same way. Plus taking damage in the same area. Been over 30 years. Wish they would have had such when you and I was going thru.

Looks Like the Japanese are going way of Mech-Warriors! I believe the Japanese has taken the lead on Robotics. Behold the future.

It still needs a lot of work, but it has potential!

Be some serious trouble to take on Armed Soldiers this way. Plus I believe they are working on Androids as well and or non-combative robots.

 Yeah I saw that on a Russian video. That's awesome. The guy was just blasting away out in the country. Apparently, the gun laws are a bit different. That's clearly a military weapon. It would be awful for home defense because while you are highly likely to cut an intruder in half you'll also destroy your house.

I don't recall. It was a young guy. My buddy at work had the video. I'm pretty sure that's the same dude but I'm not 100%

Hardly any kick either. That's incredible. Your typical 12 gauge packs has significant recoil. I guess the gas operated guns have less recoil. I noticed that on my semi-auto.

Conley
01-11-2012, 09:50 PM
Yeah they explained the mechanism and it looked very cool how it absorbed the recoil. Maybe other big guns will adapt something similar. There are probably problems with the gun (maybe it jams?) but they weren't mentioned in that promo piece.

Mister D
01-11-2012, 09:51 PM
No way that will available on the civilian market.

MMC
01-11-2012, 10:43 PM
That's a small round, no?

The ACR can change calibers from 5.56mm to 6.8mm to 6.5mm in minutes at the user level by changing the bolt head, barrel, and magazine. The ACR can also change barrels, stocks, and accessories to go from a close-quarters battle platform to a designated marksman platform.....snip~

I'm much more interested in the AK-47. I like the style. UI've fired the AR-15 and it's fun but I like the look of the Kalishnikov.

Well if they go to this XM 307, this will be lighter than 50 lbs. No sandbags or anything to hold the weapon down, and only slight recoil.

Peter1469

Two future soldier combat uniform concepts were demonstrated to members of the US congress recently - a vision of what the American soldier will be wearing in 2010 and ten years hence in 2020. Both systems look straight out of a science fiction movie, with the 2020 concept bearing more than a passing resemblance to Star War's Darth Vader, complete with armour, weapons systems and information advantages that border on unsporting. The two new uniform systems are being developed under the Future Combat System Program and include a weapon, head-to-toe individual protection, onboard computer network, soldier-worn power sources, and enhanced human performance.

Yeah Robotics are the concern I have. I thought I showed ya video of the Japanese trying to develop something like a Mech Warrior. not that have anything that i seen that would be cause for alarm. But they do have the lead on that and with androids.

This is a guy who already is trying to get a Contract with the Military and L.E's. He says his is an Exo. Calls it the Trojan. But the Armor he has is incredible. Stops Shrapnel from grenede blasts and IED's. Shotgun Blasts, etc etc. Says it weighs 50 lbs max.

Peter1469
04-14-2012, 08:45 PM
Probably would be much better for law enforcement than military. He needs to clean up the lines so it doesn't look so, happy, let's say.
