FORT WORTH TEXAS (why am I not surprised) :smiley_ROFLMAO:

A 78-year-old woman was shot in the foot late Saturday when her shotgun discharged after her dog accidentally knocked it over.

The woman had been watching television inside her east Fort Worth house shortly before midnight Saturday with her shotgun by her side, according to Officer Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman.

The woman told police that her dog walked by, knocking the shotgun over and causing it to discharge once as it hit the floor. She was struck in the left foot but did not seek medical attention that night, Neal said.

“He has the right to remain silent,” Neal said. http://www.democraticunderground.com/emoticons/rofl.gif

You mean your social Darwinism? Sorry, that dog don't hunt.

No, I meant evolution.

No, I meant evolution.

How does evolution (The way organisms inherit different characteristics over many generations to deal with their environmental changes) play any role in this story?

The owner deserves a Darwin Award? But that's Social Darwinism and doesn't count here.

Right. That's why I'm trying to figure out where the Liberal thinks evolution comes into play here.

Does she think the dog grew an attached shotgun or something?

Spontaneous generation! --But Pasteur falsified that. Dunno. :undecided20:

 Maybe she just suspects the dog evolved opposable thumbs and then shot it's owner on purpose.

Okay but what evolutionary change do you think is involved with this story?

Dogs learning to shoot stupid owners.

Evolution isn't learned.

This is why people giggle whenever Libs talk about having a "scientific" stance on something.

No, but learning can learn to mutation as a method of adaptation. Today a dog accidentally shoots its owner. 50,000 years from now dogs might adapt to do it intentionally.

Are we sure the dog accidentally fired the weapon? Maybe it was intentional.
